Dragonblood issues or Does my heart show?

As a tank Green Dragonblood is my best friend, so I keep it going all the time or use it as a lifesaver. Unfortunately I can't see my character while it is active, except for his beating heart hovering midair whereever I go. Without looking at my skillbar I can't identify which weaponset I currently use, especially when I use sword and board for both slots. Apart from that It's a bit annoying to not be some knight clad in armour holding up his shield but some jerk who seems to have botched an invisibility spell...
I really would love to see this skill with a completely different effect. One that does not completely cloak the character and shows off his/her heart. Some aura thing like on Grim Focus, Rapid Maneuver or even like the Templar's healing ultimate would be nice...

Its like a blinking target telling people where to stab you. But yeah I always thought it was a bit weird. Interesting, but weird.

When I first saw some DK using their dragon blood ability, I was rather confused... these visuals I might expect from some sort of undead, but not dragon-wannabes...

So, put me down for a vote for different visuals FX for that one... ;)

It's kinda cool but imo it would be better if we didn't become so transparent.
I want to change the world. I'm just to lazy to do it.

If you are a sorcerer throwing around lightning, lightning form makes a bit more sense at least, but I am not playing a high level sorcerer, so I can only complain about the Dragonblood. And I'd love to stay on that topic here.

*holds up big sign that says: I am a Knight in shining armour! Don't reduce me to a thumping heart!*

    Thanks.

Why do you keep it going all the time?

Anyway, after q while, you always know by instinct which bar you're on.

Also, there's a setting that always shows your bar, not just when in combat. So you can identify by the abilities icons

I know that. Doesn't help that much.

Well I don't know what to say.

I have no problems telling which bar I have out.

Even tanking vet dungeons at max level. During all that hecticness I always know which bar is active.

It's easy. Don't know what else to say.

DB is near useless now, so I'll just replace with Vigor which is far less disgusting than a floating heart.

    Disgusting! Yes.
Well, I'll keep Dragonblood, for whatever reason might be discussed in a thread with build discussion topic.

*holds up that fancy sign again...

Which does not change the skill's effect, which is the topic here. For whatever reasons people still use it, it still changes you into a ghost with a thumping heart in your middle, gliding over the battlefield. Which is annoying because if you still use it, you keep it going for regen all the time which means, while fighting, your character is a thumping heart, which makes it hard to keep track of the weapon you wield and therefore which skillbar is active.

It's one of the best looking effects in game in my opinion and was a skill i had been using from day 1 right up until it became pretty much useless.

As for it being hard to keep track of which weapon you have active, i can only guess you are a fairly new player? That or you're playing on console and sat miles away from the screen. You have two bars each with different skills. It should be easy enough knowing which bar you have active just by simply seeing the skills on the bar. I see no reason to remove the effects personally.

It shows off your warrior's heart. Wield it proudly!

My... Warrior's heart... well, yeah. And where's the skill that shows off the brains of sorcerers for their overwhelming intelligence?
And offtopic again, by the way.

*holds up the sign again "Dragonblood effects need to be changed!"

To your first comment, I "always think I know" what bar I am on; but I'm only right about 80% of the time - and that was WITH the ability bars on "always showing".
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis
