Unfortunately, such "statements" as the above have been around from almost the beginning.

I have been one of those people who was really excited about the prospect of a TES MMO and spent a big chunk of time tracking media info on the game's development long before it made it into Alphas even. Over at Tamriel Foundry as well there was a lot of information coming through, as on Reddit. Time and again, there have been some frankly embarrassing statements come out of the team here, most especially from Sage during his time.

Which lead me to the CP system info. I repeatedly posted info here of his explanation on it and the Q&A session from the Guild Summit in 2014, which you can still find on Your Tube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LD2RwSsxZIE I kept telling people to listen to it since it was obviously filled with some major holes and problems, which yes we did see right away on PTS in first few rounds.

NO ONE CARED - and I am not talking about ZoS.

People were so jazzed at the mere idea of vet rank changes that they didn't really give a you know what about any "perceived flaws in the system" there were, as some of us were repeatedly told here. Now nearly everything we discussed then has come back to bite almost everybody in the behind except hardcore grinders.

My view on all this is that in likely a year, they will have eventually (with any luck) created enough content to finally get to some of the promised changes Sage talked about in 2014, like Season Gear, like removing the need to grind through alternate faction zones for VR levels, and maybe even get to the Specrafting system Konkle talked and showed us video on in QuakeCon 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LkeMacg-b0

There was, and likely still is, so much backlog of ideas and potential content sitting in the pipeline that we would have a very rich game if only they would stop the infernal tinkering with balancing systems -- something ELSE they said they would leave aside this year and which they have also failed at unfortunately *sigh* --- and get on with content focus and release. Until that happens, no amount of tweaking systems and back-peddling, CP caps, etc. is going to solve the problems.
