When you finally enter the Mnemic Egg there is a little puzzle to solve.
First off if you don't read the conversation inside very good you will have no clue what to do. To make it simple here's what needs to be done.
1. First activate the middle or the "Heart"
2. Then proceed to activate the four corners as in "leave no corner unexplored"
3. Once you have done this in that order it will clear the puzzle for you.
I hope this helps anyone who gets stuck here.

Talasma✭Yeah I listen to my quests and I still had no idea what to do. Not everyone can figure out a clue before they realize it's a clue. After randomly hitting stuff for several minutes, I figured out that the heart will turn on/off everything but the corners. Several more minutes of hitting random crap without knowing what will activate what, I was lucky enough to happen across the right combo.

✭I got stuck in there right now, the posted combination doesn't work on my end, neither did it reset after talking to the NPC nor after relog, only when I left the cell and entered it again. Morphine✭No need to reset it @jj89 just do as @aftershox told. Activate the heart (turn it off), do same for corners and than cardinals. You will solve it 100%0 -
kenjitamura✭✭Sorry to necro bump but thought I'd go ahead and drop in an alternate order for this puzzle that also works.
Order: Corner, the diagonally opposite corner to the first corner, center, and then each of the two corners not yet activated.
I got through the puzzle in game in like 20 minutes by just hitting random ones and then getting lucky but the puzzle tormented me until I broke out a pad and paper and solved it in a mathematical way aided with a drawn diagram.

You know you've arrived at a combination that works when you've gotten through the numbers 0-8 with each one having been activated an odd number of times.
I pray no one else ever try to do this in their spare time. Something about the patterns nagged at me until I broke down and started writing.
