If we get Xmas day celebrations added, I want Arbor Day, Kwanzaa, Life Day, and Chinese New Year added, too. It's only fair.

As someone mentioned, I don't see them adding any real world holiday ingame due to political correctness. Not saying it'll never happen, but I get the feeling Zenimax has bigger things on their agenda rather than appealing to a small minority of players who want to have Santa Claus/ Father Christmas/Krampus giving out free motifs and gold to all the good little boys and girls of Tamriel.
There's always the option of joining a RP guild and hosting your own event.

I think it could happen, just with some sectarian generic holiday festival. Wasn't there a "Winterfest" or something like that in GW2? I know WoW had something similar. All the have to do is "ESO" it, Sheo goes to another plane of oblivion and travels to earth where he sees Santy Clauz and comes back and monsterizes it tosses some madness in and all of a sudden he is "Insanity Clause" and presents are all crazy traps with funny hitches that turn you into clever holiday themed objects and so on.
Some data-mining recently showed a bunch of generic Halloween themed stuff in the crown stores like scarecrow-man-pumpkin-head costumes, the ability to buy monster bites and so on. I would love it if they took a few weeks off the tedium of bug-fixes and talking about new leveling zones to make some good, wholesome, holiday themed content. They could sell millions of crowns to holiday loving players and maybe fatten up the ole' Christmas bonus sock!
Dungeons & Dragons Online (Stormreach) did some great Christmas themed stuff (or Festivus as it was called on there) with bonus candy canes in the loot, ice skating competitions and loads more, was a joy to play around Christmas time (but easy to avoid, for those not interested). Hope ESO can do something similar. For those still saying "there is no Christmas in Tamriel" well you're right but there is a winter festival on the 25th of the 12th month, so let's celebrate that and who knows, the food and festivities might just bear a strong resemblance to traditional Yule festivities...
