I think this statement just proved my avoidance of using anything to repel damage and focus on increasing it was the right call.The conversion rate changes with player level. At V16, you need ~33000 resistance to mitigate 50% damage. Since that is roughly 6.5 times 5000, those would mitigate roughly 7.6% of the damage, or ~1500 damage of the said 20k.

confirmed... it is 650 = 1%
but your question is actually alot harder to answer..
if something hits you for 20K, there are alot more factors at play than just your armor, especially if we are talking pvp.. ie, CP, penetration, skill passives etc. etc.
My point is Don't Count on increasing your armor X will decrease your incoming damage by X% ....
