We are currently investigating connection issues some players are having on the European megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available.

Dont give the developers any hint that ESO should be even more like D3.

This commemoration is for the class that has constantly been plundered and dismantled by designers for no obvious reason while other classes continue to have coherent skill lines and feel both powerful and cool.

Zos staff is no where NEAR as large as blizzards.

no where NEAR as vocal with their community either.
To a certain extent I can't blame them for not being nearly as vocal with their community. When they do post, things like this happen with disturbing regularity:
Interesting idea! We'll see what we can do. :)

see what you can do about fixing your damn game

    1000% agree

Right? I just try and talk to people and get attacked I can't even imagine being a dev

    again, 1000% agree!

HOWEVER! They should know thats going to happen and theres nothing they can do about it. What WE as a community can do is start threads about how awesome of a job they are doing, words of encouragement! Maybe we can re-establish the dev-player connection? This thread is about them being vocal with the punishment they decide to hand out in game. Let people know it wont be tolerated anymore. Maybe that will give people a shred of hope lol

They should name target dummies after known exploiters or at least put their characters in the stocks at main cities permanently.

I understand that ZOS could borrow the same anti-cheat policy without being like Diablo 3 (D3) and that this isn't a thread asking ZOS to model the game after D3. To me the most important threads of thought seem to involve wanting ZOS to be more transparent and more strict in how they deal with exploitation.

That being said, I just get the creeps from D3. I left it to play ESO, but patch after patch, more of the reasons that I left D3 are introduced into ESO. I also know that at least 1 of the major developers happen to be fond of D3.

I think we do need to be careful what we ask for. I mean, quite a few things have gotten introduced, people say how they won't be problematic, but then large numbers of users end up not liking the change. Look at champion points or the token system for the new veteran dungeons.

Blizard also submits complete rationales every time they do a balance patch. They have a balance paradigm and a vision for their classes and races.

ESO simply isn't at that level. Their communication with their customer base is very poor compared to what blizzard does.

@Personofsecrets 3k hours logged on d3 since it's launch. I too left d3 for eso. I still tend to hop on de once in a while to check on the new stuff. Eso is still trying to figure itself out tbh. It doesn't know what it wants. One thing I think it really needs is what I have stated in this thread.

People exploit because they know zos won't do anything. I know a few people who exploit daily (yes ACTUAL EXPLOITING) and they are still around. I also know people who got permabanned for saying something in a passive manor (ha ha funny kind of thing) but we're reported and install banned.

The logic between those two examples is what blows my.mind and it is the very reason people exploit. That's what ZoS needs to change. They need to make all of it public and remove the naming and shaming protection they give to people who abuse bugs with malicious intent. They need to show people they WILL get banned from here on out.

Until that happens people will continue to do it
