This was Jessica Folsom's response to my thread on Reddit. As many of you speculated this "news" was actually no news at all. I am sorry for the confusion guys. Was never my intention to spread false news. Spreading false news is bad, M'KAY.

New voice chat coming to all ESO platforms...sounds good to me. Was a bit surprised I could find no mention of it on front page of the official or Reddit forums so posted to both forums.

It was quite clearly a joke, I wouldn't want that on anyone but I wouldn't put it past them.
I'm hoping they allow transfers from console to the PC. Was a huge mistake starting on console.3 -

Ok, they are working on multiple things content/bugs/patches/store all at once see little harm in adding this.
LoTRO had/has this feature in their MMO, works like a charm, and most everyone uses it. TS and Vent are still used in LoTRO but mostly as a friend chat zone, grouping chats are mostly handled in game as everyone has access and no PW required or channels needing to be set up.

PC gamer s already have reliable systems for voice comms we don't need yet another dysfunctional system that will take a year to fix in the game.
I am in three guilds that use two different voice chat programs. I cannot switch between guilds without going out and fiddling around with software. I had another guild that used a different voice chat program, but I could never get it to work reliably. I have no fewer than four of them installed for various games. I would welcome not having to fiddle with external programs, if a built in one could replace it.XBox EU/NA:@ElsonsoJannus

I noticed that too... the articles say that vivox announced the partnership, and that it would be cross platform, but the quote of zenimax says that its for consoles, and... dont they already have it?
Im confused. I think ill just wait until there is an official zenimax news update to really speculate anything.0 -

The first article only mentions consoles. The MMORPG article mentions PC, but uses the same quote which only mentions consoles. Nothing in either article actually suggests a PC voice chat any time soon, although, IMHO, if it happens, it will probably happen when the 64 bit client comes out anyway.
In other words, the only actual news here is that they made public the partnership with Vivox for the voice chat on the console.1 -
