I typically play weekends only due to my M-F 8-5 job. I occasionally have the time to log on during the week, but not always. I live in Nashville, TN (which for those not native to the area has awful traffic) so it can take me an hour or two to get home. That leaves me about 3 hours a day to divvy up between the wife, the dog, ESO, food, etc.
That being said, I usually keep items for sale up as much as I can. I also don't mind participating in weekly lotto's if they help in hiring guild traders. My current trade guild I usually get no less than 10k a week in sales. They charge fees though, which can be annoying.
