Please see my comment on this topic. I had ESO+ for 3 months (since canceled) and have bought the 5500 crown package 4x and the 3300 crown package 3x since release on console.

One could make a case for similar privilege after spending X crowns in the crown store while not being susbscribed, but whatever the outcome of this discussion would be, it doesn't change the answer to the original question.

Thats a good suggestion. You could get the same benefit per month if you spend 1500 or more crowns in the crown store per month.

HELL NO, it can be enough of a wait for some campaigns without this, can you imagine the uproar if people got pushed from 5 all the way to 50 because some people entering at that last minuet paid money to push themselves ahead of the queue :s !

All that tells me is you weren't around during the mandatory subscription PC days and didn't see all the fuss when they changed the payment model and put in the crown store as an alternate payment system. What you're proposing is effectively making a subscription mandatory again for anyone who wants to play during peak hours in Cyrodiil, and invalidating the change they made to give players flexibility in how they pay for game content.

I say yes and I'm no longer an ESO+ member. I cancelled mine because of issues with crowns and because subbing offers little in the way of enticements.

Since subscriptions are self-renewing, I am very sure the majority of those that play in Cyrodiil and IC are subscribers, so this priority queue would safe you nothing substantial.
I fail to see the cause=>effect link between subs being self-renewable and PvP players being subscribed.
It makes sense to use ESO subscription for testing IC, since a one-month subscription is cheaper than the sales price of it. If you enjoy, you are more prone to keep up the subscription, since it is an automatism.

A not insignificant part of PC players have started out with a subscription based game and have kept up the subscription since then. All players I know a bit, have subscriptions running. While a sample size of ~80 is not really representative, a 100% subscription rate is somewhat indicative.
    Leandor wrote: »
sales in crown store contribute much more to that than subscription
What and how do you know about that ? Pure speculation imho.
Until you spend the crowns you receive from subscription, the money you have paid is in essence just a loan to the company. Since all items available in the crown store, are available irrespective of whether a subscription is in place or not, the subscription money is replacing crown store income.

Considering that mounts and costumes, which are generally the biggest sellers in stores like the crown store, are higher value than subscriptions, the above assumption has enough merit for me personally. It is an opinion.

@MikeB As I am. Nonetheless, ESO+ will increase in value once more extensions like IC are available through it. If it is not considered worth it now, don't subscribe. Priority queues for Cyrodiil access are unneeded and will result in loss of players, since it will make the non-ESO+ a liability as long as there are queues present.

As for those crying about little Jimmy paying 10,000+into the crown store per month, yet doesn't sub. They should suck it up. That's like saying non PSN and LIVE subscribers should still receive the same benefits as those who do. Money of games etc.Even if they do still buy considerably more games than subscribers. After all, we only have little Jimmy's word that he pays for 10,000+ crown per month.

No, though I have eso + I knew what I was getting when I subscribed. If this came in you would find a ton of people would simply leave rather than wait hours or feel forced to pay to play. You would end up with no one to fight.I knew what I was getting and am not the sort to buy one thing then demand more later. Don't like your current eso+ perks? Then unsubscribe

I hear the argument about those who don't sub but buy 5000 crowns per month.

Surely though, they could use a sub for their first 1500 crowns and then just buy the remaining 3500. This is a non-argument to me. Why would you ignore the 10% boost?

The only way something like this should be allowed is if someone purchased the DLC and is still a member of ESO+.

They are the only ones who could have conceivably paid extra for this content, and if something like this were implemented they should be the first to be considered.

I like being a + member more for showing my support to ZOS than that actual benefits. Could the gold, research time, and exp gain be more ? Yes. But should if offer something like this? No cause players already scream and yell at the tiny things and we don't need them yelling about " ESO plus is P2W ZOS so stupid nerf ESO plus wah wah." We already get enough crying on the forums.

No, I'm an eso plus member too.

I hate places that do *** like that. ..

Like I went to a casino for the first time...but people who spent like over 10000 dollars there got priority no longer how long you waited, no longer how long the line is, etc, someone with the membership can walk through the door and cut the entire line

    Yay preferential queues.

But we can't really have 10 ESO+ members form a queue and forbid that one unsub'd player from coming in, even tho' he is 1st in his queue. ..
There could be a system of "2 ESO+ go in every unsubscribed player that goes in" sort if queue.

Coming soon to the crown store: Line pass, for inly 500 crowns you may jump to the head of the line.

This idea opens the door to all kinds of bad ideas. I can spend my money buying new content only to be denied actually playing it because someone with a sub keeps logging in and jumping ahead in line.

The sub is nice, you can show your support for ZOS by contributing. The benefits are meh atm. The real value will come a year from now when there are multiple DLCs to access.

OP, why? Wouldn't that turn it in to P2W?

I finally cancelled by sub since it served absolutely no purpose for me. I have thousands of crowns sitting there that I'll never use. I don't want cosmetic fluff that I have no use for, don't use mounts, especially idiotic ones and don't purchase P2W items (like respec potions, experience potions, etc...) so it was worthless to me.

Now you say that ESO+ members should get preferential treatment? I've supported Beth & Zen for years with all of their other games so that's enough. I have purchased all of their games and DLC's on all 3 platforms religiously (sorry, I'm a collector), but I've had enough of ESO and it's "Crown Store".

Sorry, just my opinion, but ESO is a great game even without all the Crown Store fluff and, frankly, the buff to experience was negligible.

When I come back to play ESO regularly, I'll reactivate my sub, (like when Orsinium comes out), but, I don't PvP so what was the point, and, since I'm not playing regularly either, why?

I'm fine if ESO wants to turn itself in to P2W. It's worked before. Just make it transparent and let those of us not willing to go that route get out.

Game was advertised as free to play... period. I, and many others, bought it on that pretense. I have many hours vested, on that pretense.

*If* such a change was implimented, as the OP suggests, then I would expect to be offered a refund for my purchases, and I would happily bow out.

You see, though I cannot stand the act of actual PvP content itself... there are many PvE elements gated behind the PvP side of the game I do enjoy with friends. So while others are doing the COD grind or whatever they do zerging away in the kill respawn and kill for hours at a time, folks like myself still like to obtain the shards, the lorebooks, hit the delves, do the daily quests in Cyrodil which are worth far more exp than that in the main game - and we prefer to do so unabated. Frankly, I don't want to suffer through longer wait times, just because you elected to pay for ESO plus and want to be rewarded for paying to be fast tracked now and change the business model.

Just because you want to pay for a prize doesn't mean the rest of us need to suffer at your request. The game *as a whole* was advertised as free to play. It was not advertised as free to play when you can get in, after those that have payed a premium, and you may never get in, because all those paying a premium will be ahead of you...

If they now wish to change what was advertised, they may have some court battles on their hands.

Personally, as long as they offered a refund to any and all who bought the game when / if they instituted your suggestion, I would have no problem with them CHANGING their business model, product and service now. I would step away as the wait times to get into cyrodil are already ridiculous and what you propose is just going to make it worse for any who don't pay. I for one have no interest. If ZoS wants to lose the player base, more power to them... just offer me my refund.

However, free to play is just that... no fast tracking those who pay for the plus program at the COST of those that don't.

I get it, you want to be rewarded for your expense, and rightly so... but that's why you get crowns and exp bumps monthly. You are compensated. Now if you don't like the VALUE for which you are compensated, then feel free to speak with your wallet, but don't expect those of us, your peers, to help pay for your reward... that's ludicrous... what makes you think you can pay to be special?

What you are proposing, by asking ZoS to change their model is effectively a BAIT AND SWITCH. Folks were sold one product / service... and now, they would be recieving a different product / service after purchases have been made and time vested.

A refund at minimum, would alleviate some of the concerns... should they impliment your suggestion... but they very well may have more than one fight on their hands should they entertain your suggestion.

    Sorry... its business.

I dont know why all you people are saying this would make it P2W when it clearly would not. You're not paying to win anything, this doesnt make your character stronger than anyone else's. It doesnt provide you with an advantage over anyone else in PvP or PvE. The only thing it would do is provide those loyal to the game a reward for their loyalty.

Pay to Win: Is where you can purchase a competitive advantage over someone else through a microtransaction (or even not so micro) and a similar advantage could not be got with a reasonable amount of time, effort, and/or skill otherwise.

This does not provide you with a competitive advantage.

I voted 'no', and I'm a subscriber. While I do think there needs to be a bit more of benefit for subs, being able to jump ahead of someone is the wrong kind of approach. That would just foster resentment from those folks who do not sub. No, thanks.
