Last alt build advice.

Hello I decided to make what may be my last alt or build in this game so I need some advice.

I saw Deltia's Stam. Sorc. build and I am interested in a variation on that idea.

I only plan on doing skill point rewarding quests, solo grinding and completing zone dungeons so a AOE self healing build seems like a good choice.

I made a Khajjit (crit) and will use Dual Daggers (crit) only, no back bar other than maybe a buff or utility as well as no potions or food due to lag issues. I will be focusing on Critical Chance/Damage with this build for the skill Critical Surge (self heal) so my question is about common crafted gear.

Should I go 5 pieces of Hunding's Rage plus 4 pieces of Night Mother's all with Divines and the Thief Mundus? Or 5 pieces of Twice Born star and 4 pieces of Night Mother's and the Thief plus Shaddow Mundis stones?

Has anyone focused on maximizing critical Chance/Damage and found the Max/Cap/Diminishing returns sweet spot?

    My experience with stam sorc was horrible. I must be missing something. Also it seemed like it was a ton of buffs + steel tornado, throw in a wb for fun.

    Stamina runs out quickly compared to magicka and thunderous presence was lackluster for me. I can only give you my experience, maybe it can a slight help

    Have you tried stamina sorc before last patch or after?
    Now stam sorcs are very strong DPS, especially in PvE. May be they have stronger AoE DPS then stamina NB.

    If you're trying to max out your crit chance for survival (critical surge) there's no need really as stam sorc has pretty good armor with his buffs and critical surge has CD.
    So really you can max our your crit chance (full med, hunter, crit sets) but you'll lose weapon dmg and may be stamina pool, so your final DPS may be lower then if you'll focus on weapon dmg and stamina pool.
    Here's my build and I like it very much - very good DPS and survival
    Race Orc. health 19, else stamina, Hunding(5) + Ashen(4)(3), Heavy chest, light belt + 5 med (6% to pools undaunted passive), warrior mundus
    AoE bar DW(swords)
    steel tornado (main spam)
    bound armaments (stamina pool buff, armor buff)
    thundering presence (AoE Dot, armor buff, 2% weapon dmg buff passive)
    streak (CC, gap closer, escape, 2% weapon dmg buff passive)
    critical surge (weapon dmg buff, 2% weapon dmg buff passive)
    power overload (2% weapon dmg buff passive)

    Single bar 2H(sword)
    Wreaking blow (CC, main spam)
    bound armaments (stamina pool buff, armor buff)
    thundering presence (AoE Dot, armor buff, 2% weapon dmg buff passive)
    Critical rush ( gap closer, heal)
    dark deal (heal+stamina restore)
    power overload (2% weapon dmg buff passive)

    I tried bow, but it's not as effective. So i use bow only in vet DSC/FG last boss fight.

    To me it seems there would be two ways to maximize DPS with this build, Max Crit. vs Weapon power.

    If their is a critical cap amount that goes over what The skill Critical Surge can use then you may be right. Although if that is the case you can easily swap crit. chance with weapon power by gear selection.

    Maybe I will build for max crit. and see the limits of Critical Surge and then swap to Warrior + Divines etc. to see if more weapon power is more effective.

    My main question in the first post was basically about what gear gives the best bang for buck, or in short does two mundus stones (Thief= Crit chance/Shadow=Crit damage) beat more Crit. bonuses from Hunding's and Night Mother's.

    Is there a listing of how much Crit. chance or Crit. damage a mundus stone actually adds?

    Oh and I forgot to mention that after last patch the lag prevents me from relying on a bar swap or toggling for a potion during combat. For me even timing a block or heal is FUBAR due to lag so I want to stay with the most simple single bar set up even if spamming one attack kills everything I need it to.

    For max damage:
    Less than 50% crit > Thief mundus
    More than 50% crit > Shadow mundus

    Because you rely on crit surge for heals you need as much crit as possible so I would use the Thief mundus. All your armor traits should be Divines to push crit as high as possible.

    I'm still leveling this alt (He's vr5 now) so i use quite common gear. Armor is enchanted for stamina (and may be chest on health), weapons are enchanted with shock glyphs (for extra disintegrate chance proc). Drop Вijouterie now (for cost stam reduction and regen), really have no problems with res managment while leveling (and for VR14 i have shadow walker bijouterie set). As for char screen I can make shot in the eve.

    Meh. Don't know if a VR5 build is viable at VR16... :confused:

    Skill builds are similar since VR1-VR2 when you open all needed skillines and passives. Since that till VR16 all you need to emprove is gear to max out stats. Standart cheap and effective stamina gear (that is easy to get) is Hunding(5)+Ashen+ stamina bijouterie (shadow walker or Agility). When you get that cheap base gear you can farm more rear sets, maxing out you effectiveness. Really you can farm vr16 gear with vr14 sets (as you'll need lots of rear resources to craft VR16).

    For that level, your stats are already quite impressive.

    When considering damage output, what would you say: is spell damage equivalent to weapon damage?
    (As far as I understand, magicka + spelldamage = stamina + weapondamage, at least in the output, right?)
