Resource management broken in 2.1.7 (micro combat)

Who else has noticed that their stats have not changed in the UI but it's terrible to manage stam and magika?

We have talked to a few people and ever since the 2.1.6 it's been bad, but 2.1.7 has exponentially worse. I run 2500 regen and I just run out so much quicker. Doesn't matter if I am in cryo or ic. It's ***.

Edit: topic name

Seems to me there is a micro combat issue. I was running rapids when I stumbled across it. Even though my UI was not showing combat, my rapids would change from major expedition to minor. As what happens when you make contact with Rapid Maneuvers on. Can anyone who is having this issue try the same thing.

This recent update has made me sad. Sad for the game. Sad for the community. Sad to pay whatever it is now. I want the previous eso back.

Might be drink, 2 stat vr15. Swtiched to vr10 seems to be better.

I noticed it immediately, even after I regained my mundus. For the first time I am using drinks. I wonder if they screwed up IC and ooc recovery such that somethings are not applying to IC recovery. I know at one point the atronach was not applying to ooc recovery, maybe the reverse happened this time.

I think they just made regen more harder to get as they increased the TTK, maybe their hoping that people won't stack dmg and instead will make sure they don't run out of resources mid fight and so will give up some dmg for regen.

The irony here is that the changes were meant to facilitate prolonged battles dependant on sustainability while at the same time nerfing the hell out of regen.

We were talking to some EP last night and they said swap from vr15 drink to vr10 drink made a difference. Maybe they broke vr15 crafted drinks in order to fix the AP pots that have been broken for the last month.

Sorry I had been awake for 26 hours at that point. I work nights at a major hospital, working lots of overtime has developed insomnia. I meant, "It's like having your cake stolen and vomiting it up too." a play on words to turn the phrase "Having your cake and eating it too." Like the patch was a lose lose situation.

Seems to me there is a micro combat issue. Where I would go into and out of combat enough to effect my regen and reset buffs. I was running rapids when I stumbled across it. Can anyone who is having this issue try the same thing?

I have no idea what is causing these micro combat situations, was thinking it was stacking on top of the main combat status. Most of the time it happens with vr15 drink.

Essentially all of this was a bandaid fix for the insane power creep happening due to the CP system and their elimination of softcaps back in 1.6. In essence, what they did was a double nerf to burst damage builds. They increased TTK by upping health and dimishing damage while simultaneously restricting our regen rates so the fights are all about sustain and not burst.

What they should've done was one or the other, but not both. They creates too many changes too fast and they didn't stop to think about the compounded repurcussions of their patch. This all in the name of pvp...which essentially screws up pve.
