    Destruction Staff: Skills
Elemental Drain: Send the elements to sap an enemy's defenses, afflicting them with Major Breach, which reduces Spell Resistance by -# for 18 seconds. While the effect is active, attacks with Flame, Shock, or Frost Damage restore # Magicka to the attacker.

    OR

Radiant Oppression: Burn an enemy with a ray of holy fire, dealing # Magic Damage over 2.5 seconds. Low health targets take up to 300% additional damage.

Channeled Focus: Create a rune of celestial protection to gain Major Resolve and Major Ward, increasing Armor and Spell Resistance by #. If you leave the rune's vicinity, the effects dissipate after 8 seconds. While near the rune, you also recover # Magicka every 0.5 seconds.

Resolving Vigor: Renew your forces' resolve, healing yourself for # Health over 5 seconds and nearby allies for # Health over 5 seconds.

Structured Entropy: Bind an enemy with chaotic magic, dealing # Magic Damage over 12 seconds and restoring # Health to you plus an additional # every 6 seconds. Also grants you Major Sorcery, increasing your Spell Damage by 20%. While slotted, your Max Health is increased by 5%.

Destructive Clench: Devastate enemy with an enhanced charge from your staff, dealing # Magic Damage and # more over 8 seconds. Also applies an effect based on your staff's attack element:
    1. Flame Clench knocks back the enemy and deals more damage over time.
    2. Frost Clench immobilizes the enemy for longer.
    3. Shock Clench stuns the enemy and deals damage to nearby enemies.

Solar Prison: Call down a fragment of the sun to deal # Magic Damage each second to enemies in the target area and reduce the damage from their attacks by 30%. An ally can activate Gravity Crush, dealing # Magic Damage to all enemies in the area and stunning them for 5 seconds.

Why is it called Phoenix Guardian if you're not using a fire staff? (A phoenix is generally associated with fire. Hence the term "From the ashes like a Phoenix". Not, "From the power socket like a Phoenix").

Most importantly, where is jesus beam?

    Thanks.
While my first question was just a slight query, the second one about jesus beam was a legitimate question. Why do you not use it? It's the most constant hardest hitting ability in my death log. I'd abuse the crap out of it if I were a Templar.
Like, what do you use as an executor?

I'm not sure if I get the purpose of this thread. Do you need help to improve your character or are you happy with it and want to show others how you play?

My reason is to spend less magicka and recover magicka from the abilities, so I can activate more abilities against the target. But I can see it being used instead of the Elemental Drain. I'll put a "OR" option in there for the Radiant Oppression.

    To gain input!

You didn't specify that. In fact, you even gave your build a name so I thought you were sharing it for others to copy, hence all my questions you never answered.

I've seen people use the phoenix set in pvp.

It's useless. I kill you, you do an animation giving me time to move away from the effect and heal myself, you then get like 30% health. Still easy to kill.

Not a dig at you, but not one person using that set has caused me any problems at all.

see not individually ik myself I run with other Templars and if my animation pops I see a spamage of heals and full hp after I pop out. to me its best use is for pve even in IC because if you "die" it gives you a second chance to not lose stones while fighting a boss haha same vs people hah. and while they are focused on you getting ready to pop out the rest nuke them all depends on how your group works haha

In a group with healers I can imagine it being pretty viable.

Still, if you're I'm a big enough group, actually triggering the phoenix thing isn't such a big deal as you have healers keeping you alive anyway.

I just think there are way better sets to be using than that. Either healing related one of more spell damage.

Must admit my thoughts are the same with Phoenix set, have a guildy that loves it but personally I would rather have something that stops me getting to the point of getting killed or kills my enemy quicker than one that only kicks in once its already going wrong.
