Entrance into Imperial City

So I've been paying for ESO since the pre orders, and I'm wondering about this DLC. Of course, I've got the latest mega patch, but since I'm a 'plus' member, do I still need to download the DLC from the Crown store? And if so, will the Crowns I pay for it be refunded?

Finally, once I get the DLC, how to I get INTO the city? Is it like Craiglorn where you need to stumble into someone giving you a quest?

Thanks

If you're a plus member you have instant access without buying from the Crown Store.

There's three sewer entrances clearly marked on the map to get in. There's a quest giver in your alliance base by the bounty boards in Cyrodiil.

Yes you will have access as a plus member, but if you ever unsubscribe you will loose access to IC, but not any items you get from there. Also if you don't get the quest from the person in Cyrodiil, you can get the quest down in the sewer base once you go inside.

Ah, so I need to go to Cyrodil and poke around to get in. Thanks.

Kinda not right that I'd loose the DLC if I decide to unsub. I mean, I paid for it through the subscription. Probably won't ever play it anyway. I'm not into PVP and the toon I have that's furthest along would only be a Vet 4

    Thanks though!

You didn't actually pay for it through the subscription. You're basically buying monthly Crowns and getting added bonuses.

Huh? I pay 15 bucks a month for the sub. If that doesn't buy me the DLC, I might need to re-eval if I need to spend that money. Especially considering that I probaby won't ever get to play it.

And that sub gives 1500 Crowns per month for free. After 2 months, you have enough Crowns to use on the DLC.

It's the same as with many other subscription based MMOs: you rent server time by subscribing and you rent unlimited access to the content. Once you cancel your sub, you don't rent the content anymore and, thus, don't have any access to it. However, with your sub running since launch, you should have enough crowns by now to permanently buy the DLC and have access to it, whether you're subbed or not.

Yeah, I have a lot of Crowns stored up at the moment. Haven't really bought much because honestly, there hasn't been much I was interested in.

If they wanted to actually put something useful in the Crown store, you'd be able to buy a new character slot. Although the costumes are amusing.
