Sorcerer Deadric Armor

I would like an option to hide this armor, like the option to hide mage light and ones helmet.

Especially now when there are these new motives out, people want their armor to be visible. I really hate the gray boring look of the sorcerers summoned armor, it looks awful to me. Either that or change it to some sort of glow around your character, instead of what it is now.

In PVE this armor is needed for the 8% extra magica, and thus I, and others are forced to look at a character that has looks I do not like.

A costume isn't crafted armor I spent time and gold on. I am using costumes now, but you can't dye them, or change their appearance.

It's less about the protection and more about the max magicka.

    The skill gives 8%

I agree with the author. There must be an option to hide sorc's armor. We pay for motifs, make an effort to create great new gear, and finally we and other people see only costumes or bound armor that can't be even dyed. That's wrong.

I agree that this definitely needs to have either a toggle to hide the effect or just have the visuals for it be a transparent pale-purple armour that fades away a few seconds after use.

The armour is way too generic looking, much like the summons.

Its the same as daedric heavy armor isnt it?

I believe the Bound Aegis morph has the appearance of Daedric, but the Bound Armaments morph looks more like Xivkyn.

This exact thought was running through my head after running around in the bound armor morph for a few weeks... I wonder why I even bothered to dye/combine different motif sets for my armor if it was never seen.

I like the way it looks... But yeah, I can understand why you might want to actually be able to see the gear that you're wearing.

Sounds like a nice idea but what I usually do is toggle the armor off when I am not in combat if I want see my armor. When I am in combat anyway I do not even see my armor most of time thanks to the particle effects.

    Either you can't read or....

    I can read fine.

You don't need it. In pvp or pve.

It does not warrant space on any bar. So much better stuff you could use.

Just put all attributes in magica, use best sets, enchant everything with magica.

I'm sitting on 20k magica at vet 4 and it is more than plenty for pve.

The builds I use it for are end game PVE content. 8% of 20k is indeed not a lot, but I am sitting on 41k magica as a v16 with bound armor. With these numbers it does make quite a lot of difference, as it adds quite a bit of DPS.

I'm not asking whether you this it's a good skill or not, I am simply asking for it to be able to get hidden, as I find it ugly.

With your reasoning, bike lanes aren't necessary, if 'you' don't use a bicycle.

I don't see how an extra 3300~ magica is worth a slot on both bars. That's all your getting. 2 spells.

No need to get so defensive.

I'm just saying, you could be using your bar for much better things.

It is when you min/max 3300 is still the same as 30 attribute points into a tree, it's more spells, and more damage.

Especially when damage is hit hard in pvp you need every bit you can get.

Why go for daedric armor rather than inner light? 10% crit seems to be way better than the additional 3% magicka you get...

I agree with OP, I would like to use the skill (as a stam sorc) but it totally ruins the char for me.
It's all about appearances. I'm going to die anyway, so might as well look as cool as possible doing it, right?

That's a big portion of many magika skills though. Never had the issue with any stam builds as generally they are either dps or one time casts like rally.

Now my magika templar I'm struggling to find spots for skills as there's ones like magelight which take 2 slots etc. We need more slots!

I was so glad to get 30 cps to get the spell crit so I could drop magelight and run entropy.

Space is far too precious on bars, especially as a sorc. I keep overload mainly for even more space.

If you're not using inner light I would suggest switching it for bound armor because it gives a bigger damage boost. And if you have both on your bar the only option is to wear a costume/polymorph to cover it up.

Note, you can get cool Xivkyn Polymorphs from random Tel Var boxes in Imperial City.

I use entropy and magelight atm on my magika templar, would it not be worth keeping magelight with the spell crit CP bonus to get a higher crit rating?

Inner light gives 5% max magicka and 10% spell crit + 2% max magicka and 2% magicka regen from mages guild passives.

Bound armor gives 8% max magicka and minor armor/spell resist + 2% spell dmg from sorc passives.

The choice is between 10% spell crit + 2% magicka regen OR 1% max magicka + 2% spell crit + minor armor/spell resist

For damage Inner Light is a lot better.
For defense Bound armor is a little bit better.

First off, YES to the hiding bound armor! Secondly, I run both inner light and Bound armor on both my bars for PVE. It works really really well.
