Want to try a New Sorc Build
My race is High Elf, Vet 8. Currently only doing solo play still. Getting remaining skyshards, anchors,lore books, and delves+plus other things. I plan to get a lot of things done before I go to dungeons, but if you do have a dungeon build by all means let me hear it because I will come back to refer to it when I get to dungeon diving eventually.
Id very much prefer a magika build so I can properly take advantage of my races class. I've been told magicka isn't the best to go with. I still rather not ignore my race Passives for now.
So far I've been trying what I like. Could use more damage, that also has survivablity for when I need to go into public dungeons by myself to get a skyshard.
Also I am not sure if it's necessary to mention, but I also have gotten comfortable with swapping ability bars. I'd like to try a complementary weapon with the build. Maybe incorporate it's abilities. I already use destruction staff. I've been testing melee weapons just for fun mostly, but I'd prefer to range, and I kinda dislike using both Destrucyion staves. I like to switch it up which is my reason for this thread.
If there is anything else worth mentioning I can't think of much, besides number of skill points which I don't think will be an issue.

✭✭try my build. racials can actually be benificial to other builds due to helping negate the weaknesses they have, for example, the magicka costs of my stam sorc build. i roll as an altmer stam sorc, helps my magicka sustain greatly, almost never run out so my utility is always accessablePLEASE REPLY TO ME WITH @dsalter otherwise i'm likely to miss the reply if its not my own thread

@dsalter makes a great point for builds that don't focus on min maxing. A more well rounded build won't put out numbers as high as glass cannon builds, but they are much more survivable by covering up resource weaknesses.
An Altmer Sorc in the DPS role would crank out the highest potential damage from the class skills, giving you more of a glass cannon build.
Healers have to be magicka focused, which makes your race choice a good candidate for the role if you want to try it out.
If tanking is your game, Sorcerers make great magicka tanks, which your Altmer would compliment.0 -

ahh if your planning purely to solo then you probably are best off using a typical crystal frag and force shock build magocka stam, with another off staff built for AoE so you can pretty much handle anything thrown at you while doing solo stuffPLEASE REPLY TO ME WITH @dsalter otherwise i'm likely to miss the reply if its not my own thread

Glass cannon sorc is completely viable in pvp. Just need to make sure you constantly have shields up0 -

Glass cannon sorc is completely viable in pvp. Just need to make sure you constantly have shields up
