Templar Tank for IC+

Hello me and my Wife have a pair of Imperial Templars that we are about to finish silver and head to gold so we have a few points and have leveled a few skill lines to make for some alternate builds.

We Duo'ed as Heavy 2H full Health until Vr and then found that Full Stam 2H/DW Medium allowed us to plow through the PvE content faster. Our goal was to be able to complete all the Solo PvE content and then go back and do group content at cap with guildies etc. So a tank and healer build would be in order and on the healer builds there seems to be obvious directions for the builds.
Although Templar tanking is another story after the huge blocking nerf and I have not seen any post IC Templar Tank builds. It seems some can manage to tank as a Stam DK or even as some other classes but I have not seen a effective tank build for the Templar.

Can someone please give me some info or a link to a effective post IC Tank build for the Templar so I can flesh out my skills in time.

Thanks.

    Noooo! You should at least level all your class and weapon skill lines while you're still playing PvE. The only thing you need to consider atm is whether you want the stamina or magica based morphs. It would be folly to rush through Cadwell's with just the one setup hoping that's what you'll be using forever after. Be versatile, or you'll be at the mercy of the nerf hammer.
    Please stop making requests for game features. ZOS have enough bad ideas as it is!

    Umm we have been leveling many skill lines like I stated.
    Just wanted to know what skills/morphs are needed as a Templar Tank if they can even do it after gold.

    My unusual channeling-healer templar tank concept:

    Later, in very high champion point (1200+), you can change the acc enchant to potion cooldown.

    The skill is like this:

    Bar 1
    1) Ritual of Rebirth (Team) / Puncturing Sweep (Solo)
    2) Purifying Ritual
    3) Ring of Preservation
    4) Radiant Magelight (PvP) / Inner Rage (PvE)
    5) Immoveable
    U) Empowering Sweep

    Bar 2
    1) Puncturing Sweep / Invigorating Drain
    2) Structured Entropy
    3) Toppling Charge / Radiant Oppresion
    4) Radiant Magelight
    5) Restoring Focus / Repentance
    U) Solar Prison/Meteor

    Contrary with "uninteractive" Pre 2.1 blocking build, this build is very interactive, you will swap weapon very often and press lot of button, because:

    1) you will need this buff continually up:
    a. Immoveable (sometimes from immoveable potion);
    b. Ring of Preservation;
    c. Structured Entropy;
    d. Purifying Ritual (Optional),
    e. Restoring Focus (Optional); and
    f. Empowering Sweep (As often as possible)

    2) You'll need to spam channeling/casting skill like Ritual of Rebith or Puncturing Sweep, while keep aggro with Inner Rage (in PvE), and cleansing with Purifying Ritual (Mostly when in PvP) when needed.

    3) In PvP you can occasionally jump foward (bar 2) and help the DPS, but I recommend do this only when under effect of immoveable potion.

    With low ping, every 1 immoveable you can do: (A) 1 Invigorating drain + 1 Ritual of Rebirth; (B) 3 Ritual of Rebirth; (C) 4 Puncturing Sweep.

    I must admit, this build requires high champion point and good gear to be effective.
    This build also have quite high learning curve, difficult to master, and not for everybody.

    But I hope at least my build can give you some insight to play tank in unusual way.
    If you have any advice or critique on this build, let me know.

    Regards,

    Thanks for the info, I am looking at those skills now to see if I can do something similar with crafted gear and just under 20 CP.

    I don't mind interactive tanking but with the last patch's lag things like bar swapping and toggling potions is unreliable. Combine that with missing a block or interrupt or any other skill due to the lag and I am starting to worry that Tanking on a Templar may not be viable.
