PTS - Solution for Character Creation process woes (No Beauty Shop, Character Delete Limit, etc.)

1. The Advice: Use the Player Test Server (PTS) to get your prospective character's appearance just right before creating it on the live server.
This advice may apply only to PC users, but I would suspect that console players do not have the 3 delete restriction of the PC.
2. Why: I like to get my character's appearance just right and you cannot tell if the appearance is right until you get past the tutorial and into the first game zone. I used to go through my deletes too fast and had to wait 24 hours to try another variation.
3. Pro: Using the PTS resolves that issue. Today I went through 5 or 6 variations of a new Dark Elf character on the PTS until I got it right and now can create the character and play it in the game. It appears you may have unlimited deletes on the PTS.
4. Cons: The only downsides are loading a complete other version of the game, for which there are workarounds to the full download available by searching the internet, and having to go through the tutorial once more on the PTS. I downloaded the PTS when I was doing something else and the tutorial takes only a few minutes.
5. Disclaimer: I have searched and this edited post does not seem to be a duplicate. As my original post showed up as the second entry on a search and the first entry was inapposite, I have edited my original post. If this is a duplicate, I apologize, but this allows me to replace a truly stupid rant post with a helpful one.

✭✭Create character -> complete some fast quests -> put gold in bank -> delete character -> repeat
This would still be possible with your suggestion.
Furthermore I think blocking chat and mail for low level characters is a much harder restriction and worse for casual players than not being able to delete more than 3 characters a day.
If you really need more tries to get your character right, you could create a character on the pts, take a screenshot of the settings and skip the tutorial. If you get a character which looks nice, create him on the live server again with the settings you can look up in your screeshot.2 -

Any player that does not get the appearance just right on a new character in three tries cannot try again for another 24 hours. In my case I want to roll a Magicka Nightblade. I am down to only one delete every 24 hours. Because there is no beauty shop like in WoW, FFXIV and other MMOs, I must get every aspect of the appearance right. Because there are no animations, and limited viewing angles and only one drab background in Character Creation there is no way to determine how the character will actually look in-game. I have my new character precisely how I want, but get the character in-game and find the hair looks horrid. There is no way for me to correct the appearance except to delete the character and re-roll. With the 24 hours delay in deleting I have now been waiting three days to play this new character. This is three days too many.
ZENIMAX, IF YOU DON'T WANT GOLD SPAMMERS IN YOUR GAME THEN DON'T ALLOW CHARACTERS UNDER LEVEL 5 TO ACCESS CHAT AND USE OUTGOING MAIL AND BLOCK THEM FROM SHOUTING. ALLOW UNLIMITED CHARACTER DELETIONS UNTIL LEVEL 5. (This could even be a lower level, just need the level high enough to see the character in the game after running the tutorial. THEN NEW CHARACTERS CAN BE CREATED WHEN THE PLAYER WANTS AND SPAMMERS ARE STILL ELIMINATED.
Haha from the tone here I suspect OP has more serious problems than mmo char creation! :P Open a window. Take a breath.

✭✭✭✭✭There is no legitimate reason to need more than 3 deletes in 24 hours that couldn't be better solved by a solution other than removing the deletion limit.
Here's what used to happen before the deletion limit:- Create random character
- Port to person on friends list (or in guild) in Riften (or other location that fits the criteria)
- Do easy non-combat fetch quest
- Deposit gold
- Delete character
- Go back to step 1
And that's one of the ways gold sellers made tons and tons of gold really quickly and easily. The delete limit is good. It's partly responsible for the current general lack of bots, gold sellers/spammers in the game.
What you need is not removal of the delete limit. What you need is a way to alter your character's appearance after the creation screen.
