On the blue corner, we have a VR14 Templar healer, wearing full epic and superior heavy armor, with a health pool of over 25k, a VR 15 Dragon Knight tank with over 30k health and 2 dps.

And over here, on the red corner, we have a vr 2 Flesh Atronach, wearing... well, almost naked.

The team on the blue corner has an advantage with HoTs and damage shields. And the fight begin.
The templar starts with a Channeled Focus and Purifying Light, very typical move. The tank engages and taunt. The dps are doing their job. The Atronach's health pool quickly drop to 2/3. Everything seem too easy. It's a nice, quick and easy victory you have there. What if... something... happen to it?

What's happening? The tank is taking an insane amount of damage! Holy $h!t, he only has 1/5 health left. The Templar quickly pop Healing Ward covers 4/5 of the tank's health, then Breath of Life, which does an insane heal on a low health target. Oh yes ladies and gentlemen, only Templar, the most epic heal bot of all classes can do that to save the day. But wait... What the heck? The damage shield is BROKEN! The shield was broken IMMIDIATELY and took a huge chunk of tank health with it! "I SWEAR I BLOCKED IT!" The tank yells.

Now the tank is almost die again! The Templar pop Healing Ward and Breath of Life AGAIN! The tank rises his shield and blocks the attacks. POOP! Shield broke, tank almost die. Healing Ward, Breath of Life. POOP! Tank is dead. I REPEAT: THE TANK IS DEAD!

The Atronach runs toward the Templar. He sees it's coming. He pop a Shield and stands his ground, on the lightning Channeled Focus puddle. He trusts on the Major Resolve and Major Ward. He trusts on the damage shield. He trusts on his heavy armor. He trusts on his 25k health pool. The Atronach rises its claw above him. The Templar hold block with his shield. CRACK! The Atronach broke the shield, eat thru all the 5k damage bubble. Its Claw tears thru the Temp heavy armor and cracks his skull for a 34k damage.

The Atronach looks at the dps. They start running around and yelling in panic. SMASH! SMASH! Without mercy, the atronach 1 shot the dps with 99k Claws.

The fight has ended. Requiescat in Pace, our brave little soldiers.

And so ends the tale of the enraged Atronach, May his op fists of doom rot in the flesh sculptor's pit.
This one has an eloquent and well thought out response to tha... Ooh sweetroll!

Is it me or are the bombs a bit wonky. You actually have to be on them for a second or 2 before the synergy comes up. This makes it more difficult when every second counts.
I'm kind of a small deal!

I'd much rather have the new content be too hard than too easy! We've already seen a damage nerf with the last incremental update (last Monday I think?). Thanks for making challenging content ZOS!

When a single ***-slap from a flesh atronach comes in at 115k on the death-review, that seems a bit near impossible. We have a pretty well coordinated crew all at v16 and when we each get one-shot for 115k, I'm not sure how you're supposed to compete with that. What's the point of heals or tanks? The challenge then is just "pray to the 8 you don't get hit and all 4 of you better dps like a beast". :( I personally enjoy the coordination between players and the strategy that comes into play when you work together for a common goal. When I wipe to a boss knowing he put up a fight but that I also put up a fight, I feel a small bit of "Try harder next time" vs when the flesh atronach decides to get fresh with his pimp hand, well then I just feel a ragequit coming on :/

Mobs with bullet-sponge levels of HP and Armor/Spell Resistance that also hit like trucks is not challenging. It's stupid artificial difficulty that developers toss in because they can't think of interesting mechanics to make the game challenging.

To be fair, Ibomez the Flesh Sculptor and his adds do have a new mechanic to go with their stupidly high damage and mitigation. It's just that it is an awkward, annoying mechanic. :-\

I did this Vet Imperial Prison after the damage nerf, and got 1 shot with damage shield, heavy armor, Major resists on, over 25k health and Blocking with a shield. Harder contents base on mechanics and require team co-op, cool. But this kind of "hard" is just stupid.

The enraged mechanic is a dps check, you gotta take it down within 50 seconds iirc
    Skylärk // v16 Stamina DK (AvA 23)
Elizabeth Skylark // v16 Magicka Sorc (AvA 29)
Tauriel Skylark // v16 Stamina NB (AvA 12)
Alexander Skylark // v2 Magicka Templar

Can verify this, must be taken before the rage mechanic or will all die :-)

Yea on the trash, you need to focus down the atronachs first. We usually had our templar healer offtank it while 2 DPS kill it, then deal with the rest of the group. Usually worked. Usually...

Just have your DDs be real DDs ^^
At this point of the game, you're supposed to have the dps to kill them when focused. I'm not saying it's easy !

Some packs we kill in two times : the pack between the two Watchers with the 2 Atros ; the one before the Flesh Atro boss with the Hoarvors and the Harvester in front of the door ; this stupid pack before the Lord-Wardens with the Flesh Atro, the Harvester and the two Hoarvors (and the traps ^^)

Have a Templar healer, and have him helping the DPS : Combat Prayer, Blazing Shard, Mystic Orb, Repentance (so DDs and Tank are never out of ressources and can do their job)
As a healer, I usually use a lot of Puryfying Light on all the mobs : lots of healing, and a bit of damage. Coupled with Healing Source and Rapid Regeneration, there's enough healing zones and hots for me to help the dps and spam Blazing Shard.

As a DD, you don't have to have an insane DPS either. My NB magicka is around 11-14k in single target, so nothing amazing really. I ran with a DK magicka with better DPS than mine in mono, but not too OP either (15-16k). We had no issue killing the atros (unless someone in the group died.... then it's hard to kill the atro in time)

As a tank, I'm running usually with a Sorc. I want to play safe so I don't have anything in my bars for damage (but my Lightning form of course) so I don't help the DDS
On the other hand, I tank with Pierce armor on all the bosses and *big* adds/trashs. As a sorc I can tank the Hoarvor with stacks of Sorc shields and Light Armor shields. If I see a DK banner, I try to get as much adds/trashs as possible in it.
As a DK tank, I was trying a stamina build but I really don't like it. So I don't really have any advice since I was too focused on my new spec and did it only once with very big DDs (two DK magicka with 20-25k DPS in single target...)

When everything run "smoothly", it takes 1h30/2h for us to clean the dungeon, with the last boss in HM (yeah, we're still hoping there are better loot chances with a HM bos :'( What fools we are)
When it doesn't... well one of our run lasted 6 hours, another 7 hours....

So yeah, I'm not saying it's easy :)
