dragon Knight help

Hi All,

I'm sure I'll get no end of smart ass comments for This post but here goes anyway.

I have recently just hit Veteran 3 rank on my Dragon Knight.

I currently play an Orc Dragon Knight with 7 / 7 ashen grip medium armor ( it's the only set I can craft at the moment) and like to play the game this way I know I could buy some thing better

I have all my skill points in Stamina at the moment

I have a bow as my main weapon with my bar set as follows snipe, poison arrow, magnum shot, obsidian shield, green dragon blood, ultimate is werewolf

My second bar is 2 handed set up as follows, burning breath ,unstable flame, executioner, critical rush, rally, ultimate is dragon leap.

My problem at the moment is while this worked well levelin up to veteran rank I don't seem to have the damage output I used to and my surviability is terrible.

Are there any good veteran leveling builds out there for stamina dragon knights i love using my two handed weapon but seem to get severely smashed when I do.

I PVE to haven't tried PVP.

Any help appreciated PSN ID Belly8304

Use uppercut then morph to wrecking blow, it's the strongest 2h move.

You seem to be missing some form of aoe, i'd slot at least 1.

    PS4 EU DC

    Current CP : 756+

I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.

RIP my effort to get 5x v16 characters...

In medium armor, basically make sure you don't get hit (or as little hit as possible). Roll dodge (or block) melee attackers, use wings to reflect ranged attackers. Always get out of the way of special attacks (red ground)

Here's a short clip i made yesterday, soloing 4 mobs in IC sewers with a vet8 DK who's using medium armor and 2H sword:

Thanks for the advice, I'll unlock wrecking blow and give It a go, thanks for the video Sharee what actions do you have set up on your action bar you seemed to just being using one move I assume it was wrecking blow as mentioned in the above comment.

Do you have a certain build you have followed to?

Your stamina regen seems pretty good.

The bar is wrecking blow(main damage ability, CC), rally(damage buff, heal over time, burst heal), stampede(gap closer, snare), dragon fire scale(ranged defense). Last slot has elude, but i am using it as a wildcard, changing the skill depending on what i am doing.

Other weapon set is 1h/shield with puncture, unstable flame, invasion, volatile armor and green dragon blood. Im mostly using it as a buff bar, only switching to it for a moment to apply buffs to me and debuffs/DOT to enemy.

Armor is just a blue set of v6 hunding's rage/whitestrake's (set up so that 5 piece hunding is active with 2H sword and 5 piece whitestrake active with 1h/shield). It does not matter much since battle leveling takes care of my stats up to v14.

In the video i am using (for damage) wrecking blow alternated with heavy attack(they look very similar), which is also why the stamina regen seems good, the heavy attacks return the stamina wrecking blow uses up, which leaves more for use in roll dodging.

You only need 5 pieces of a set. Use the rest 2 piece body armor, and weapon pieces for something else.

I run a Hunding's rage 5 piece, Ashen grip rest, both gives extra damage. Also warrior mundus.
Big fat Nord Dragon knight with a huge hammer. - Tank
Stealthy argonian witch templar - Healer (lowbie)

That's a good point. Even if your crafting is limited, if you can craft ashen grip, you can also craft night's silence(also a 2-trait set), so 2 of the 7 armor pieces should be of that set(to get the 1st bonus). Then weapons can add the 2nd NS bonus.

    +1 for the NS recommendation.

I'm still reallynew to DK (3 days), but I'll share what I've been using successfully and enjoying A LOT. I play with this setup in both PVP and PVE.

Also, I use Medium armour for that stamina and weapon damage love, but roll with S+B on both bars.

    Gear

5 pc Ashen Grip - Chest, Legs, Head, shoulders, hands
4 pc NS - Feet, Waist, Mace, Shield

    Offensive - Bar 1

    1. Shield Charge (awesome gap closer with a stun)
    2. Unstable Flame (DoT a single targets face off)
    3. Ransack (Decent damage, causes major fracture and gives you minor resolve)
    4. Molten Armaments (I use this as an executioner because the damage can be insane against low health targets)
    5. Talons (If there's too much crap going on I'll use this to gain some distance, or trap a group then use Firey breath while they're stuck)

    U: Take Flight (Weeeeee)

    Defensive - Bar 2

    1. Volatile Armour (Some extra protection and causes damage on activation)
    2. Defensive Stance (I like this over wings because it's cheap as hell, costs stamina, and has a long duration so I don't have to keep reapplying it if I don't get hit by a projectile. It's also a lot more subtle ;))
    3. Fiery Breath (Nice AOE DoT)
    4. Dragon Blood (Not sure what to think about this. Sounded cool on paper, but does jack all. Might replace with Vigor)
    5. Obsidian Shield (Animation is cool. Damage absorbing shield for you an surrounding allies. 100% increased for you)

U: Take Flight (Love this ultimate)

S+B has some really nice passives for keeping you on your feet. Cheaper and extra blocking is really useful and saved me countless times. Because I'm in medium and not heavy armour, that extra layer of protection is welcome, even if my damage isn't as high as a 2h (Although ransack and molten armaments makes up for that slightly). I also add some points into my CPs to accommodate this even more.
