I find IC great. It allows fast access to pvp, lots of tight corners which you can use in your groups advantage, no need to siege an enemy out of a keep (thank god!), awesome roaming bosses which you can use against an enemy group (I can not count, how many times i've aggroed a boss to pull him into an enemy and then watch them die from his AOE)
There are downsides ofc, like for example, we need better requirements for access in IC. But the DLC just got released so ZOS wants to give everyone the opportunity to get in and see it, so I guess its understandable.
Fast access? I wasn't lying or exaggerating when I said 3 hour qs . My q on Thursday took 3 hours . I got in at 11pm I'm up for work at 6am . Previously a long q was 1 hour . I have the dlc and I'm a pvper so I didn't want to spend the 40 mins to an hour gametime I had killing mobs for stones but the campaign was empty had to hunt down some pvp .
I don't think it's permanent obviously it'll settle down. For me the option I've got is play on my one day off . If I'm working then eso isn't an option afterwards ATM . It's clear to me that waiting it out and playing catch up is my best bet. Aggroing npcs into enemy players isn't my idea of pvp . Grieving for lulz maybe but I'd rather fight player versus player no bosses involved. I've no idea why zos thought this would be OK for paying customers . Surely they could've added more campaigns the qs are ridiculous so to answer the OP then yeah it's killed cyrodil for me personally. Regularly top 2% in azura to not playing at all

1) Change campaign, especially if you only got one day to play... If everyone queues for azuras then its natural that you'll wait in line. Also i was mentioning the close respawn points, not the queue. (Disclaimer : in case you 're in console and they havent added more campaigns yet, wait it out. They added 2 more campaigns in the first week on PC)
2) Aggroeing NPCs might not be an idea for you, but considering the zergs that run around IC it is one of the best ways for small groups to defeat bigger ones. Why did ZOS make it like that? Well it would have been boring if every single NPC was just 1 or 2 shots dead. Makes the battlefield more dynamic and... fun.
