Add an option to disable to receive heals

Getting really tired of so called "healers" which heals me at 99% health to leech 50% of my loot, xp, alliance points and telvar stones.

And before anyone complains that i am crazy because i want to make healers obselete. I want it as option, for the others who needs to be healed can just leave that option disabled.

So if another player heals you and doesn't touch the opponent they are entitled to loot?

Sooooo healers are supposed to dps and tank or actually do there role to HEAL as in that's what most HEALERS do. I don't see this happening because a healer healing you is just as good as you killing an add in my opinion. This option would make a Templar lose out.

    Not sure if serious...

BTW healers, if you see me feel free to heal me. Getting half the stones I could have is better than dying and losing almost all my stones.

I thought loot and xps dropped independently. Meaning you get the same regardless of whether you're the only one on the mob or whether someone else heals you while you fight it.

Have you tested that to confirm that you're earning less xps when someone heals you? (I'll verify it tonight if I can otherwise).

Ideally, if everyone gets equal drops/xps/et al, then the drive by healer or the guy who leaps in to help finish off a mob is just being nice and the game is encouraging us to help each other out which would be pretty cool.

*Tel Var stones are, I know, a different story. Since you're looting them from a player there's a hard limit on how many are generated at a time. In that case I can see a point for optionally disabling outside heals. You're risking a high chance of dying yourself but that the kind of risk IC is designed to encourage.

Good to see that your bump is getting you the response you so direly craved! I'm in with the crowd that welcomes any and all heals. Except when I'm at the bank and someone is healing constantly and making me draw my weapons...

I'd love to know how this exactly works.

I go through delves, dungeons and more and get hardly any loot at all. When I play a DPS toon I get far more loot.

As a templar healer, I'm far more likely to dps until I see some health bars drop... it seems unlikely that healers are going to burn their magicka on a 1% heal for the off-chance of it counting toward loot.

If you're getting heals at high health, it might be because people around you need it. Also, I don't see how turning it off will change anything, unless you're running with just one healer in tow who isn't doing any dps.

If that one person is following you and messing with your game, just ask them to drop back or wait for them to move on.

I do that and when it doesn't work, i go to a different place. Craglorn and cyrodiil are big, but the sewers are small so i can't escape them.

This is pretty spot on. If I did that I wouldn't have enough magicka left for when everyone starts getting beaten down. I staff to keep refilling my ultimate and hit the heals when folks stop being able to maintain health. I spend more time with my eyes glued to the upper left of the screen watching health bars then I do the main battle at times. That is my job, keeping folks from dying.

Sorry some folks are trying to gank in for your loot, that is not representative of all of us. I only join groups who call out looking for a healer.

My new templar doesn't heal. He just drops sacks of Old LOLs at your feet and skips away.

I heal randomly. I'll admit it.

I usually watch to see if they need the help first though. But sometimes if I find a group engagef in a fight I will blindly though some buffs and heals assuming someone will need them.

Not against having an option to turn off "friendly" buffs / heals. Wouldn't mind an option like ignore to tag a person to not recieve buffs too. Sometimes I'm evil and like to watch them die while their allies remain at full health.

It's not even intentional 90% of the time. Most heals in ESO are smart heals and have more than one target. So when I use Vigor, Breath of Life, Funnel Health on a mob or whatever to heal myself to avoid death, I also end up healing a nearby ally.

But I dont think anyone would mind better control over smart healing. Many of us that's been begging for it since beta. I would personally love it if my heals didn't go to some random player grinding in IC. Much better if they only went on me and the people in my group. Than I wouldn't have to *** away my magicka healing the wrong people.

Only people opposing might be Leechagen spammers, but they're not really healers to begin with. Rather just lazy dps noobs tagging everything with a resto, so they dont have to do any actual fighting.

I would like to turn off my heals for everyone but who is in my group. On the other end I'm tired of people who follow my small group and keep taking heals meant for members of my group.

I agree with the OP and say let you turn off receiving heals and as a healer have an option to make heals only for your group.

I agree with eliisra to a degree. I use funnel health to keep me alive, and as an offensive while my stamina regenerates for special attacks. It is set to share the health with up to two allies. I assume though if an enemy is killed we each have our own loot, otherwise when we jointly kill a boss am I stealing all the boss loot or do we get the same loot each, if I am taking others loot then I'll hold back and let those who put the most effort in get it. This comes from a solo player so I don't know how it works in this case as I don't have group members to ask. Plus I don't know about others, but I try to be generous, if I see a random player being destroyed I'll jump in and use the skill to harm the enemy and keep them alive. Most times I'll just run away as soon as I can see they are capable of finishing the job themselves, or as soon as the fight is over. Also the same argument can be used for people that turn up at a dolem or boss, fire one arrow and get the achievement for it. I've been on both sides of this, sometimes you turn up at th right/wrong moment, and don't want to wait for the whole thing to respawn. What I can be accused of is looting all the boxes and chests in the area without thinking, I've tried to stop doing it as It's instinctive from many single player games where you have to grab and run. Tell me if I am looting others hard earned rewards then in future I'll hold back after some battles to let others loot the bodies. Failing that I'll just stand and at the sidelines and watch people die when I could've helped just so I don't insult someone by accidentally heal someone when using funnel health as an offensive.

It would get to a point though where you DID need that heal. You would soon see the difference if you no longer recieved any healing. You will make a dam sight less AP if your dead all the time.

Loot every single body you can. Once a body is glowing yellow it is already done - You looting that does not impact anyone else's loot. I play with my husband every night so I can see everything he loots on his tv next to mine.

Now the decision to "help" someone else's battle can impact if they receive loot. No real etiquette in public dungeons though. We can't wait around 4 hours to get to solo a boss.

There are public dungeons where every chest you see if you grab it - then it disappears. Let's get real though, everyone grabs it as soon as they see it. Everyone.

In the Group dungeons when you loot the chest, every single person in our group gets a turn looting the chest. Take everything, they get their own full stash, not your leftovers.

I support the OP. As a corollary, I think that healers should be allowed the option of only healing themselves.
