Vet DC Grobull Teleport Bug

In Veteran Darkshade Caverns, we encountered a bug on Grobull. We had a party member get teleported around the room. He tried logging out and back in, and reloading the whole game, and reloading his UI. The person this was happening too was running Master Merchant, Combat Cloud, Roomba, and Foundry Tactical Combat. The skills he was using at the time: Rally, Caltrops, Relentless Focus, Evil Hunter, Surprise Attack, Steel Tornado, Ambush, and Vigor.

✭I was the one effected by the bug. This isn't really a teleport as much as speeding across the entire play area at super speeds.
The video was done on the last try (we failed several times as i couldn't stay near the mobs to do damage) and when I was trying to remain as still as possible.
The first couple times it slung me from one end of the play area (for this boss quite large) to the other corner in the blink of an eye. Once I slid up the side so fast I caught about 50 meters of air and was steel stornado'ing mid air and almost died from the fall damage.
As far as addon's I was using Master Merchant, Combat Cloud, Foundry Tactical Combat, and Roomba. The skills I was using in the fight were: Rally, Evil Hunter, Relentless Focus, Caltrops, Ambush, Surprise Attack, Steel Tornado, and Vigor.
Though moving at those speeds were ...interesting, it wasn't the time or place and I could barely control where I moved. One step and I was all the way across the playfield in a corner.0 -
Yonkit✭✭✭✭✭This happens for Dragonknights, if you use Burning Talons on the boss, due to it's reflect nature, you gain super speeds. The same thing happens if you use Talons whilst Eclipsed by an NPC or another Player, I can only assume that this happened because the Player used Ambush on the boss, because Ambush is a Root, and therefor has the same properties as Talons, if he wasn't using Ambush on the boss then I don't know, it looks just like the Talons/Eclipse bug, same speed, same glitchy nature. You can replicate it very easily by going into the dungeon and using Burning Talons on the boss, has to be Burning, not Choking, don't quite know why it doesn't work with Choking. Just try going back into the dungeon and using Ambush on the boss, if you gain super speed, you know that's why.Has an Alter Ego in the form of a very large quadrupedal black & white Bear.1 -
lonewolf26✭✭✭✭✭The same thing happened to me as tank when I ran that yesterday on my nightblade. I was running razor caltrops as well. At first I thought it was refreshing path which I was using to keep health up as the healer was busy with others. I'd tap a button to inch forward or back to get in better position for kiting the netchlings and I'd speed halfway across the room. The only way to slow myself down was to hold block as I adjusted my position.
I wonder if the snare effect might be related since as Yonkit mentioned DK Talon's cc was suspected to be the cause.Edited by lonewolf26 on September 9, 2015 1:06AM0 -

ryanmjmcevoy_ESO✭✭✭This has been happening to me for a while too. My DK tank would throw Caltrops for this fight and if I stopped blocking I suddenly had super speed. Was cool/funny the first time, but it keeps getting me killed now because I can't control where I'm going. I'm pretty sure it's caused by Caltrops, probably the boss reflecting the snare or something.0 -

✭Used to get this using talons on Grobull (his reflection on roots seemed bugged). No point doing roots on flying creatures though so just reported it and found out using razor caltrops (a snare) will proc the same effect. Kinda need the AOE to attract add aggro. I think it would be a semi funny way to give a new mechanic to this boss, the speed boost helped but was a handicap as well. Here is my contribution
