Advantages of a magic nb compared to a magic sorc

I want to try a magica nightblade for pve most but i dont get what a nb on magica is good for (sorc with overload higher single target dps , more aoe anyway , more mobility and a biiiiiig shield) . I think the off-healing is better but i hope thats not everything . If someone of you already played a magica nightblade let me know what they are good in . Thanks

The off healing is nothing to sneeze at. 4-6k Funnel health ticks along with refreshing path ticking for 1k+ every .5 seconds, sap essence AoE heals 7-10k. Magicka NBs take a lot of pressure off the the group. 16k+ HPS as a DPSr is pretty awesome. They also give the minor savagery buff.

Magicka Nightblade is best for solo PVE IME. The ability to cloak is a great survivability tool. In group PVE, Sorc has the upper hand for survivability because cloak is the best survivability tool NBs have and it does not fool bosses and sometimes doesn't fool mobs. However, it has been my observation that magicka NBs have better sustained damage than Sorcs, which makes them better DPS IMO. Both classes can burst targets well, which I think is important in mob pulls when you need to take down healers or high damaging targets quickly.

So choose NB for better group PVE damage, decent utility and a great solo class. Choose Sorc for great survivability in any situation, decent utility, and good burst damage.

I would like to point out that NB is more versatile in roles as they make better healers and arguably better tanks than Sorcs (though Sorcs are still viable in both roles as well).

Please don't play a magicka NB, just stick with a Sorcerer, that's better for you.

I find the latest meta "MAGICK NB is OP" to be misunderstanding of how an actual magicka NB can serve as an off healer and as a utility build. Survivability is far better, but don't expect high burst dmg potential.

It's not for everyone, but I've found the healing aspects, and CC alone to be the most fun Ive had in group play. Different strokes for different folks.
