Imperial City Level V16?

So been away from ESO for a while, got to V14, crafted a Legendary suit of armor and went to another MMO, just logged in to try Imperial City and its all Level 16 Content..so no way to bridge the gap? Do I have to grind out the two levels or am I missing something. Tbh the reason I took a break was all the grinding with no story, I would of preffered a story that at least bridges the 14-16 gap..

They reduced the XP needed per VR level and boosted all questing XP and the XP in Craglorn.

If you have any quests left, do those. OR just do the main story in IC, you don't need to be VR16 to participate in IC. You will find that you are VR16 pretty fast

XP required for each vet rank has been reduced from 1,000,000 to 850,000 and most sources of XP have been buffed. Additionally, any excess XP you had at VR14 up to 849,999 extra will have been applied to you. You should get to VR16 in no time.

Ahh ok, didn't mean to make my post a whine, just logged in and saw Mobs were V16 and was like "Uh ok just jumping right in I see"

Yep you get like 120 xp per mob in v16 dungeon haha, i dare to call a nerf hammer again...

Individual mob XP doesn't mean the XP is bad. Mobs in dungeons are a lot denser and closer together, so you can kill more of them faster in a lot of cases. I'm not saying it's amazing, but you should use an XP/hour add-on (or just calculate it yourself) for a more meaningful stat. They probably balanced dungeon XP around a group that is farming it, so people going through it slowly are obviously going to be getting XP slowly.

Well, some things top point out. If you played your v14 for some time you're probably close to v15, so it's actually grinding one level to get to v16. Secondly, as for crafting, I found it interesting that a gold V14 piece is still better than a purple V15 piece . Going v15 gold won't gain you more than 1 or 2% on your stats. Worth the mats? I doubt it.

Main Story takes you up to about V1, Doing Vet mode of the next two factions gets you to V10-11, for me it got me to V12. So I had to grind V12-14. So yes for a while I was repeating Cyrodiil missions. So was all grinding with no real story. Thankfully I believe the Orsinium Update is just PvE so that should be more fun. Spent about 3 hours in Imperial City and was having trouble killing mobs so I just gave up. Ahh well
