PS4 aftermath of patch 1.07 as seen from my Templar

I was very concerned after reading about all of the changes in this patch. But was willing to try it out and give it a fair trial.

I have been running a magicka Templar in solo mode recently, but do heals for group PvE play and PvP.

The download took forever and having to respec my characters ate up most of my available day. But, I wanted to see how I would do in my favorite dwemer delve run compared to before the patch.

I was pleasantly surprised. The delve was at vet10 and I am currently at vet4. Time to kill mobs was about the same for all the critters including the dungeon boss. My survivabilty was very good, at least as good if not better than before. And my sustain was fabulous.

Didn't have time to check out PvP or group play yet, but hoping for similiar pleasant surprises.

    My magicka DK vet 7 running through vet 10 zone did feel a bit squishier, but, still able to run through delves and same zones. There's definitely been a change to the feel. I noticed certain mobs and some abilities now feel noticably different. Groups of mobs that I used to plow through i would have to heal more through. A boss where structured entropy and maybe a potion would be enough of a heal now required I throw on green dragons blood too. So, definitely some differences in my light armor + 1 medium + 1 heavy build.

    That said, I made somewhere around 1/3 to almost 1/2 of a VR level last night after doing maintenance / skill allocations, merch etc from downloading the patch. I've been averaging around 1/5 to 1/4 a VR level per night lately. So, that felt like some good progress in a short period of time.

    I also tried out the new Aprentice stone, which feels good so far.

    I'm at a mixed bag right now. Some of the content feels like it may have increased in time to kill slightly, but they also reduced exp required to level in vr levels slightly. Certain areas have had buffs to exp gains... its probably a net sum gain... but my toon also feels a bit squishier right now. So, lot of adjustments going on, lot to absorb and test. Too soon to really say one way or the other in PvE. It does feel workable though.

    have to say, go try some actual content and see if you still feel the same, doing easy mode leveling content isnt a good judge of how things have changed.

    Excellent idea! Had limited time so tried out a known test. +6 levels seemed to be fair to me. I will do the normal stuff (solo dolmens and world bosses at the same level difference) to check out those conditions as well. I was interested in ttk, sustain, and survivability since those were my main concerns. What would you suggest for "actual content"?

    I do agree that it was easy, but good enough for an initial assessment. And hopefully get others like tactica to share their insights as well.

    Typically the people that say "actual content" mean PVP. Occasionally it means vet DSA. Typical internet people thinking their way of playing is write and everyone else is wrong.

    I also played on my templar last night and it felt different. I had to heal a little more than normal, and trash mobs did seem to be slightly more annoying, but it's nothing major that tweaking my skills and paying more attention won't fix. I had a habit of using my controller with one hand and eating/drinking etc with the other when doing stuff, so I'll just have to stop that.
