Difference between V14, V15, and V16 weapons

I am curious if anyone knows the difference in damage on V14, V15, and V16 epic and legendary gear. I'm curious because I'm thinking of crafting V15 sets first (I need 8 craftable sets) and it will cost me almost less materials for the whole V15 set than 1 item of a V16 set. I just need to know if it's worth doing or if I should save my mats. Thank you.

I think gold level V15 Hundings Rage only gave like 11 more Stamina and 20 more weapon critical than a v14 gold set. Save your mats, IMO.

If you're V16 then any dungeons that you do that scale to your level will more than likely drop v16 gear which can be deconned for the new materials.

Just save up for the 16 set.

You're gonna get the full 15 set and realize that you will be a lot more powerful with the 16 set.

Prolly not much of a difference to be honest.. If you're a min maxxer I guess you'd notice but is a few percentage points really a huge deal to most people?

The base damage number of a weapon is a significant boost from VR14 to VR16. Enchantment strength is also a nice boost from VR14 to VR16. Set bonus differences, though, are extremely minor. I would definitely obtain a VR16 weapon as soon as possible and upgrade it to legendary. That will be your biggest power boost with smallest investment.

The 5 piece set bonuses on some items are not vr16 scaled. Like hundings rage. You'd only upgrade if you wanted that extra bit of stam, magika or hp for 10x the effort. Probably save and get it in glass or next dlc will be vr16 anyway.

If anything, at least make your weapon(s) v16, there is quite a noticeable difference between v15 and v16 in terms of weapon and spell power.

Fight in IC, get the vet 15/16 items from NPCs, Decon them, and you'll get the mats for your vet16 armor/weapons in no time

getting a full vr 15 armor set and vr16 weaponry was the first i did. agreed set bonuswise you don't notice a big difference, though like stated above the enchantments do add up. took me about2 days to get my vr15 armor, now slowly upgrading piece by piece. weapon dmg went throught the roof when upgraded to rank 16 btw.

Upgrading weapons and jewelry to v16 is pretty important because the increase there is really high. Upgrading armor pieces isn't as important.

Because of this. Weapon offer 200 more damage. 3x jewelry enchant offer 150 more damage. That is significant. But, as already mentioned, set boni are not really worth it. Only the Enchants on the armor are a reason for me to upgrade to v16, becuase there you get about 15-20% more than at v14.

Gold VR16 greatsword has a rating of 1571 (I think) and a gold VR14, 1344. Huge increase.

Vr16 weapons follow the normal increase up until legendary quality. Armor doesnt follow this. So jusr make your weapons vr16 first then slowly make the rest
