Have you made friends through ESO?

Have you made friends through the game, forum or other ESO related means? As someone who loves Elder Scrolls and enjoys MMOs I wanted to make friends through the game but have yet to do so. I wondered if my experience differs from yours. Do you look to make friends? Is it just an added bonus? Would you rather not make friends?

Gaining a friend via this game is a happy bonus that I'll gladly take, though seeking friends isn't something I actively do :)

Yes, now if ZOS would allow a way to let me purchase the dlc for my friends I could continue playing with them. It boggles my mind that there is no option to gift crown and or dlc, or gift subscription. Steams gift system works great for cases like this.

The friends I make in MMOs are what keep me coming back, its about who you spend your time with, not what you spend your time doing.

    Definitely...

Try joining a few guilds and then try & get involved with events & just random groups within those guilds. You'll then start to play with the same people more often and find the ones that you click with :)

TS def helps a lot with this, but not essential.

The first person I became friends with in ESO right from the start (@Fizzonance / MikVin if anybody remembers him) actually died in real life a couple of months ago..... I was quite surprised how upset it made me, even though we hadn't ever met up in real life... you can def make good friends through here :)

Interesting  How did you all make friends? Through a guild, group or just random occurrence?

Oh that's awful! It's good to know that you made friends and enjoyed that time together though.

Most of my friends come from the group finder tool which everyone claims is broken. I use it daily and it works for me daily, if the people I run a dungeon with are good at their roles I invite them to my friends list for future gaming. Then instead of using LFG I start inviting people off my list who I know are skilled. Spending large amounts of time with said players in dungeons and chatting on mics you start bonding.

if you are on console, actively using your mic in group chats / party chats will go a long way towards finding friends, you just need to find those with similar interests.

A couple of my friends from my days on Warframe were going to get ESO, but they ended up moving on to other games. So I run solo for now.

My PS4 friends list went up by 30+ thanks to ESO. Four of them still play ESO. :#
This post will not take you an unusually long time to read.

Yeah... I made a thread on here at the time to try and let as many of his ESO friends know... but the mods locked it for no good reason! :/
