But it isn't and hasn't been in any previous Elder Scrolls game so to do it now would disrupt said theme.
This game has already disrupted the ESO theme. I mean its an MMO.

I say let the handful of people that want to look at numbers on their screen flashing by instead of concentrating on what's in front of them have it. Pro-tip though until they do implement something for the consolers. Check you character screen when putting on new gear. It will show your overall hp, mp, stam and damage so you know if you've improved. Also when your killing things pay attention. After respeccing or gearing if you kill those things faster, that means your "DPS" has improved. Same for tanking and healing. If you are doing better at it, or surviving longer, the new build has worked, good job.
This game has been completely *** from day one by its own franchise name. Epic single player trying to smash into large scale multiplayer.
The only thing I never will understand is why so many people are resistant to both and prefer one so strongly to the other that they're willing to let the game teeter in the middle not really being a good TES game or a good MMO, but a mediocre both.

TRUTH
I don't know why there isn't an option to show how much damage your doing in battle? And why isn't there a countdown or a meter for your skills or buffs? I think this would and should be a very important option to have. I mean come on, this is mother f@#$+-# Elder Scrolls Online! There should at least be a DLC for this, I would literally pay money to have this!

@DezKoth87
Why?
Because this is not Borderlands. And honestly it would look out of place and worthless in Elder Scrolls universe.
Everything has a health bar. Not hard to see any damage that is being dealt.

Yay for guesswork!

I bet you think flintlocks and *** are better than modern weaponry, also. Why the hell do I want to play a game where I step back 20 years into the industry's past?
Callous2208 wrote: »No, I realize the modern weaponry I own and use is better. I only get one shot off with my muzzle loader before I have to reload, whereas my modern rifle I can just fire away. I didn't even need an add-on to tell me it had a greater cyclic right of fire either, I realized it when it shot faster in my hands. No yellow crit number popped up across the sky when I downed that whitetail this weekend either, but I know I had hit one because she lost a lot of hp all at once and died shortly after.
