Why are most costume packs so increadibly dull? Give me something I want to spend money on

Why are most costume packs so increadibly dull? They just look like regular armor pieces you'd find in the world, nothing really special about them at all. I was expecting more unique and new 3d models for costumes in different styles. Most (if not all) armor pieces have 3d models that look just like excisting ones from the game, only new textures. Why would anyone want to spend money on something like that? O.o

Come on Zinemax, I was expecting more effort being put into the costumes.. Make me something COOL and AWESOME that I actually want to spend my hard earned cash on. Give me some 3d models that cant be found in the game as loot for once!

Here you have a good example of good looking armor costumes as microtransactions! All armor pieces are unique and cant be found ingame otherwise.

All they need to do is make the costumes in the Crown Store dyeable, and they will surely sell way more. Even a costume that you don't initially like, could look much better in your own choice of color scheme.

People also buy costumes to get rid of the endgame armor that pretty much everyone is wearing. But then again, everyone with the costume will look exactly the same, so you're better off with the armor everyone is wearing, which you can atleast dye.

Ohh and here, this was one of the datamined stuff. Got 2000 Crowns left and will throw them at this costume the second it hits the Crown Store!

    I respectfully disagree.

The cash shop you showed is the exact type of cash shop that makes me uninterested in playing a free to play game because everyone is wearing these ridiculously bright, unrealistic, obviously cash items that look better than the stuff you can get in game for legitimate effort.

ESO makes an effort to look realistic and that is what makes the game so beautiful, in my opinion.

I hope the cash shop never offers that sort of flamboyant stuff.

Actually, it is for this very reason I like the cosmetic packs: because they look like the belong in the world.

There would be nothing worse - in my opinion - than having cosmetic packs that look totally out of place in the game world. And one could argue that one or two already released may have crossed that line, though that's largely a personal thing.

If you can be anything, be kind.

Don't just add more costumes, make them able to be dyed. Not everyone wants to look exactly like that guy, the one over there, oh and her, and that guy, plus that one, oh can't forget him, and this one right here, and ken cause you can't forget about him, or jake cause well jake looks like ken and that guy plus that one and the one over there because well everything is so damned generic.

We should be able to dye them.

Agreed. I'd be way more satisfied with the costumes I've bought if I could dye them.

I also agree on the costume dyeing! It would feel much more personal if we could, like it was something my character actually picked out!

We need funnier costumes, more peasant themed costumes, and "wizard" costumes.

    - saltrice/rice farmer costume with conical hat/gondolier helm from Morrowind.
    - exquisite robes from Morrowind.. rainbow sherbet!
    - Telvanni Wizard
    - supreme super mage costume
    - Old Wizard costume... Gandalf style. Old Man Breton Wizard
    . Arch-Mage costume
    - errant moth priest swordsman costume
