A suggestion for balancing Cloak

    Vanish needs more than just the bolt escape treatment since that itself is still a problem. They need to overall just introduce minor CD/charges on certain abilities to cut down this ability spam. People say they don't want vanish nerfed since it ruins their "stealth" playstyle but as it is right now vanish isn't being used to be stealthy in combat, its being abused to work as an invincibility button. Meanwhile, its only meaningful counters either have a CD or don't work well in the first place. I run with detect pots at the ready and magelight always up yet I still miss 75%+ of my abilities shot at them due to the way that sneaking makes abilities in the air almost always miss.

    I believe the entire game stands to improve with the introduction of minor CDs. For example, if vanish had one as small as 2-3 seconds it would make it seem more worthwhile to press and combo with an attack or miss a big hit such as a crystal shards. They could even buff some of the abilities with CDs overall to make them worth running on your bar. Blazing shield could be made into a 50% health shield on a 5s CD, bolt escape could have its increasing costs removed and have 2-3 charges on a 5s recharge, ect.

    Although this has been said before it always seems to get shot down fast by people saying that CDs don't belong in ESO. These people though are usually saying them in defense of their meta build getting nerfed but elder scrolls games have had CDs before. Beyond potions there were CDs on dragon shouts, enchant procs, and racial abilities. Yet the part of the game that needs them most doesn't seemed to be even considered. The balance in this game has always been abysmal but its finally getting close to a point were most playstyles can stand a chance in pvp and I would like to see it get to the point were i can actually play HOW I want and not follow some guide/gearing strat to even begin to stand a chance.

    Quit being a di*k and making bullsh*t assumption to defend your clearly overpowered ability. Seriously, 100% invisibility with 100000% movement speed, complete immunity from any single-target skill, immunity to agroing NPCs in areas like the sewer, a stronger version of Purge, the ability to enter and leave combat at will, damage boosts, and so much more in a cheap spammable ability. Something nedds to be done about it, and I would prefer that it not be magicka penalties as they will punish stamina builds more.
    I'm in need of that LOL button now.

    Also, what morph of Shadow Cloak gives a speed buff?

    I know you understood very well what I meant, but since you're gonna be you:
    Complete immunity from any single-target skill, immunity to agroing NPCs in areas like the sewer, a stronger version of Purge, the ability to enter and leave combat at will, damage boosts, and so much more whilst moving around at 100000% movement speed from everything it synergizes with, all in a cheap spammable ability.

    - If you can see it, you can hit it.
    - Yes, that is absolutely a boon in the IC.
    - Dark Cloak is by no means a stronger version of Purge. It only removes DoTs.
    - Entering and leaving combat at will only works against people who have no clue how to play against Cloakers.
    - Damage buff applies to Shadowy Disguise (100% Crit chance) and I rarely see anyone use it.
    - What's the 'so much more'?
    - None of the Shadow Cloak morphs provide a speed buff.

    Shadow Cloak: Fixed an issue where you were not being hit by some area of effect abilities while Shadow Cloak was active. The following abilities will now correctly damage a Shadow Cloaked target:
    Dark Talons
    Inhale
    Ash Cloud
    Volley
    Arrow Spray
    Magicka Detonation
    Caltrops

    From today's patch notes. I wonder if these abilities have been bugged in the sense that they haven't been pulling players out of Cloak or doing so but just not damaging them. If the first one is the case, that's certainly interesting as all the area spells I used on my DK before I ditched him for my NB is on that list - Dark Talons, Ash Cloud, Inhale and Magicka Detonation. I still think the speed is too high while Cloaked with some setups, but this certainly changes my view of the spell.
