The VR15 bow is equipped and the VR14 bow is not. Do you have any other gear in that set equipped that is lower level and/or lower quality? If so, that will bring down the set bonuses as a whole (because they're averaged out based on all of the equipped items in the set), so the equipped bow will show lower set bonuses.
No, I mean do you have any other items in the equipped set that are lower level and/or quality than the gold VR14 bow.Treasure_Goblin wrote: »The VR15 bow is equipped and the VR14 bow is not. that doesn't make sense though, 80, 80, 80, 80, 80 averaged is 80... 80, 80, 80, 80, 90 averaged is 82... Why would it bring it down?

In that case, I have no explanation for you...Treasure_Goblin wrote: »No, I mean do you have any other items in the equipped set that are lower level and/or quality than the gold VR14 bow.Treasure_Goblin wrote: »The VR15 bow is equipped and the VR14 bow is not. The weapon damage enchant would account for those numbers being bigger but not the max stamina number being larger.

Every item I have equipped the numbers always go up, have never notice one let alone all going down. I don't know why these numbers would go down.
Try swapping the items, equip the level 14 and hover over the 15 in your inventory, curious to see what happens.
Edit:
Not sure my prior post was accurate, so I trimmed it.

You are on the right lines...
An unequipped piece will often show lower stats than it will once equipped...
There are several things that increase various stats which once items are equipped will change them from the unequipped version.
OP, have you checked by equipping each item and then comparing?

so i had to buy 8 more rosins to test this, because i had deconned that bow. and yeah, it actually does that, and swaps it around. once i equip the v14, it says the v15 is better, but why? that's still extremely confusing and misleading..

the enchant makes no difference as it is seperate from the set bonuses. Those bonuses are whats in question, not the total amount of DMG the toon has. At least thats what I'm getting from the question. There are a few things with gear tooltips that Zeni needs to look into as I have ran across a few things that made me WTF all over the place just like this.ontheleftcoast wrote: »Am I reading this wrong?
It appears the VR14 bow has a "Weapon Damage Enchantment" on it but I don't see one on the VR15 bow. Could that be effecting the overall numbers being computed? I confess, I don't fully understand set bonus calculations. But I only took 2 years of Calculus in college and not the convoluted math used by ZOS. ;D
