Connection to Server Has Timed Out

Can't log in on the PS4.
On the title screen, after I press X to continue, it takes 1-5 minutes to progress to the next screen where it then reads, "Could not retrieve announcements."
When I select PLAY to enter the North American server, I am instantly brought back to the title screen with the error message "Login Failed. Connection to server has timed out, try again later."
I am able to log into the European server with no trouble, but this doesn't help me.

I've been having the same issue for the last 3 hours.
I can log into and play on the EU server just fine.0 -
Unstable.Pixel✭✭✭Having the same issues. My launcher sits at Loading... for a few minutes then goes to the patch manifest/repair stuff (which does nothing). Bypassing launcher isn't much help as it can't retrieve announcements and throws error 201 failed to login when trying to login.I swear to drunk i'm not god0
