I am not getting pawned as Nightblade. I just feel I can help my guild and friends more as a tank. You guys are strongly against this for no legitimate reason.

The first MMO I played (my username) used an ingenious character creation method where you could choose from the entire skill list, so the combination of builds was virtually infinite. This was 16 years ago and was truly groundbreaking. Some of the Bethesda products followed a variation of this model with great success. Of course some builds turned out to be more effective than others

First of all the only thing "classes" did in the old games was select Major and Minor skills for you. Youd need 10 levels in a Major skills to level up and if you didn't balance leveling your minor skills the right way you wouldn't get triple +5s on attributes on a level up. Therefore "classes" have always been inefficient, If you played the old games it was custom class all day. The only huge differnce in character was the racial.

Corrected myself I said attributes rather than skills.

Take Oblivion for example:
Blade - replaced by a passive
Blunt - replaced by a passive
Hand to Hand - gone
Armorer - replaced by an armor trait
Block - build into some classes, champion, and snb tree
Heavy Armor - still exists
Speed - built into some classes and med armor tree
Athletics -replaced by armor trait
Acrobatics - dodge replaced by med armor skill
LightArmor - still exists
Security - thank you justice system
Sneak - classes and justice
Marksman -still exists
Personality replaced by a useless passive
Mercantile - gone
Speechcraft - replaced by a useless passive
Alchemy - still exists

Edit : Dont even get me started on true ES magic and ESO magic

Race/Class change reminds of the Aesop fable The Boy and The Filberts: A child who tries to grab too many nuts out of the jar, only to have his hand stuck at the neck of the jar and so..."Unwilling to lose his nuts but unable to withdraw his hand, he burst into tears. A bystander, who saw where the trouble lay, said to him, "Come, my boy, don't be so greedy: be content with half the amount, and you'll be able to get your hand out without difficulty."

It's easy to level a new character, it's easy to pick a new class, a new race even. ZOS gives you 8 slots to do it. But what if those 8 slots are full you say? Then the issue isn't about allowing class change. A much simpler solution, and one that wouldn't be wrought with bugs (or as many bugs I should say) would be to increase the character slot number. Something that could easily be done through the crown store. With that you can have all the nuts you want........

well..here's an idea..you can stop whining on the forums and just level all 4 classes to max level.

then you can play FOTM since that seems to be your only goal here.

Couldn't give a flying about Pvp abilities, it's just not my thing...no offense to those who enjoy it of course.
I've literally maxed dozens of characters in all the previous ES games with tens of thousands of hours playing.
Yes I'm old & an ES game nerd...I play nothing else since Arena.
I have abundant time to build alt's, but I just don't want to until I can complete all Pve available, ie, after XBox EU gets IC.

That being said, I'd dearly like to change from an Imperial in my current character to experience the racial passives of a Khajiit.
My mistake I accept, that I wasn't aware when building the character of the differences...but I'd like to see how a Stealth-Paws would be at my present build in comparison, and I'd pay regardless of the cost...if you're listening Zos.

How it should have been implemented - You have access to every skill in the game. Upon creating your character you select a class, which is more of a template that lists their favoured skills (ie: Battlemage: Heavy Armour, One Hand+Shield, Mages Wrath, Fiery Grip). You gain bonus experience when utilising these skills and so they rank up faster and offer slightly more benefits (minimally increased damage, longer durations, etc), but it does not stop you from using any other skill that your chosen "class" is not experienced in.
I know, I know. You're all thinking "Wow man! That sounds cool!". And you're right, it is cool. But if your one character can do anything, how does the MMO developer get money? They don't. They lose money on experience scrolls once you've maxed your character, they don't get any money from impatient people buying riding training for their other characters. Basically, people would be content with one character, and that's just not profitable. So the choice you have is to roll yet another alt and pay for them to rise up the ranks. Quite ingenious really. Having said that, I think it's safe to say we won't be seeing class changes any time soon, so please stop asking. Hell, we can't even change our nab hair yet.

I would take advantage of a class change as my roll has changed in pve, originally i plsyed a magic NB however i now tank v14. If i had known at that at the start that i would enjoy tanking,i would have rolled a Dk. Im on Ps4 so it's not been out long for us

I would pay them not to do this. The last thing a group needs is a vet level character that just had a class change where the user doesn't know how to play it. They didn't grow up with it so they aren't going to know it like the person who leveled the right way... the less lazy way.

If it's a stamina sorc, they don't count, if it's magicka sorcerer your just really terrible. Shields are expensive and you can cut through them quite quickly. The only one you should be concerned about is Conjured ward, blitz with physical attacks and dance around them with snares and CC while you drain there health, vanish when you need breathing room so they have a hard time getting a lock and retreat to use bow's snipe. Not hard.

Also Sorcerers can't self heal in combat so it's not hard to tear a cloth wearer like wet tissues.
