The Wedding dress is still a dress on male characters, I wouldn't know if that's the case on other crown outfits until I spend the crowns. ✭✭✭✭✭Yes, you can Preview most everything in the Crown Store.
Also, some Light Armor Robes pretty much look like Dresses. And, Legerdemain Loot has Dresses, I think those look like dresses on mail characters, but I have never tried. Note you can apply Dyes to Legerdemain clothing, but if your going to do that, Launder it first.
I mean remove the Stolen Flag by Laundering it at a Fence so the guard does not take it away from you if you get caught committing a crime. Not taking it down to the river and beating it on rocks with some soap.

And according to some datamining sources, more in the pipeline!
The male costumes also look good on small-chested girls who like to be tomboyish, just sayin...
And indeed, the costumes do not change if used "crossdressingly" - high points for ESO for this, it allows for so much better roleplay!
I feel all ninjaly sneaky when my dunmer bounty huntress dresses up as a boy to hide her identity... or dons beggar rags (=soul shriven robes)... or... or... Yes, it is just for roleplaying purposes and my own amusement. But then, that's what this whole thing is about, yes, the amusement of the people experiencing it, right? No matter if its a tomboyish nightblade dressing up as boy, or a burly nord wearing a evening gown...
And yes, there is also something among light robes and stolen clothing, though I really hope someday latter will get expanded with waaaaay more styles, purchasable from tailors and research/craftable for clothiers...
By the way... I for one would just looove it if all the armor leg pieces got an "short skirt/kilt" option, just like light armor have robe/jerkin options... I'd so be on the lookout for the influx of red-bareded nords in kilts swinging claymores and speaking with a distinctive (if sometimes fake) accent... 0 -

Low to Mid level Medium Argonian Pants comes out as a Miniskirt or Kilt. I think it is the most appealing armor myself for a female. Too bad once your past L26 or so, they go back to regular pants

I always considered those more like "shorts with loincloth-style flaps" then "skirts/kilts"... it would be nice to have something like the robe bottom, just... only knee-length. As option at least...
