Blue Rare fish

Is the BLUE rare fish catching possibility relevant to its name location? (Provided that we are using the CORRECT bait)
For Example: Hag Fen Hagfish could be ONLY found in Hag Fen foul waters on any foul water in Glenumbra ??

I recommend you get the "rare fishtracker" addon, it tells you what fish are in the zone, and which ones you have already caught

I don't think so - in your specific reference, I'm fairly certain I caught that blue fish NOT in Hag Fen.

I would also like to suggest the "Destination" addon. It has the same functions as the rare fish tracker, but it will also show you the fishing spot locations. Last time i checked rare fish tracker was missing that.

The location is irrelevant. Only the type of water matters. There are 4 types: ocean, lake, river and foul, each with specific bait.

Also, Foul Water can be kind of tricky. For example, in Wayrest near the Sewer, the water is Foul, as expected. But, 15 feet downstream, it is a River. You know, the same direction as the sewage goes.

^^^This. If you are not on PC and can't use the mentioned add-ons, try this fishing guide.

Thats why i suggested Destinations. It shows the type of water. Sometimes foul waters can be directly connected to rivers for example without a real hint of them being foul. So you might save some bait that way.

Definitely this. And the sure way to know what type of water it is (without add-ons), is by what you catch. Catching a fish or usable bait will tell you what type of water it is for sure. "Catching" used bait means you are using the wrong bait. Catching a gunny sack tells you nothing.
