Change Torug to Chest and make it Heavy. Shoulders Molag Kena would be best, if you don't have them Valkyn (for the health bonus) or something similar would probably be best. If you don't have something like that, at least use 3 torug pieces. Should should be medium so you can get 6% extra stats from undaunted passive.

With bufffood I run with 22k health. Some people would say this is too much but I like to not drop like a wet noodle as soon as my shields are down. Magicka should sit at 35k+. I honestly see no reason as a Sorc to run regen bufffood.

Magicka Sorc's best (and only) defence are damage shields: Hardened Ward, Healing Ward and Annulement/Dampen Magicka. I only use Hardened Ward and Healing Ward because there are way to much stamina players running around to make Annulement really worth it (at least for me).

If you don't know what skills to use go to youtube and look for Bolterity, Teargrants, King Richard and Persian_Princess. Unfortunately I have yet to find any 2.1 Magicka Sorc videos but most of the things useful in 2.0 are still useful, you just have to experiment what works for you.
