I am playing on PS4 and am currently a VR 12 stam nightblade. I plan on playing this toon for the foreseeable future, but am thinking about what my next build will be. I have pretty much decided I'd like to be a Light Armor wearing healer/support templar but am debating between these races. Primary focus would be end game dungeons, DSA, and PVE. Secondary would be PVP.
So reading the patch notes it appears Altmers will have 10% Magicka and 12% Magicka Regen vs Breton's 10% Magicka and 3% Reduced Magicka cost (plus a 3000 spell resist bonus).
I am leaning toward Altmer for the following reason. When I look at the CP tree it appears that it takes 7 CP to achieve 3.2% reduced magicka cost. On the other hand it would take 35 CP to achieve a 12% magicka regen. To me this just seems to make Altmer the obvious choice, since I could achieve the same bonus of the Breton with 1/5 of the CP.
Is my reasoning here flawed? I know that I am disregarding the 3000 spell resistance of Breton, but it is it really that important? I would think that if you have a large Magicka pool with great regen I could Breath of Life/Healing Ward through alot of damage.
