Group finder, Ps4.

Does this ridiculous contraption work for anyone else or do i just have the worst luck in this game. First off, yes i'm a dps so i'm used to waiting longer than the Tanks and Healers of the mmo world but come on, i spent 6 hours in a queue yesterday and didn't get a group once.
Today i finally got a group, well if you can call it that, i matched with two other people twice, neither were a healer or a tank so that didn't end well. Another thing that bugs me is if you're not constantly looking at the screen when the group is formed you literally have no idea what dungeon you got in for. (I could be missing this somewhere)
Why isn't there a port to dungeon function that pops up so everyone can just zone to the dungeon instead of someone actually having to be there?
If i'm doing anything wrong here any information would be gratefully appreciated because this is really making me not want to play anymore, i love dungeon grinding in other mmo's to take a break from questing for awhile. I feel like i'm playing a single player game the majority of the time.
Having a chat box would help matters ofc but i doubt that's going to be an option any time soon.

Nope, not bad luck on your part.

This pretty much sums up my experience (with low level instances)....although I run a healer, so things probably aren't as bad for me.

As for the complete lack of porting...I have no clue what ZOS were thinking. I've been in a number of groups where one or two of us end up hanging around waiting for the rest of the group to get to the instance.

I'd work out the ratio of queues to instance attempts I had, but honestly it'd just make me cry. And I'm an ugly crier.

Group finder hardly works on the PC version either... and it has been this way since the game launched on PC. While it did work slightly for a short time, they implemented a patch that "fixed" it, but they actually ended up breaking it more.

Moral of the story: don't expect a quick fix... it appears that fixing group finder is at the bottom of their list of priorities at the moment (and always has been, it seems).

Sad to tell you that this thing is totally busted for quite some players. I tested this out with some guildies a while ago. All roles set correctly (2 DPS,1 Healer, 1 Tank) and all VR14s. We had tested this with either dungeon set to "All", some random dungeon or a random veteran dungeon. We left it running for at least a good 10 minutes each before canceling it.

Since we all were the same level and had the correct roles set, why did we not group up? To be honest, i haven't been able to get a group with this thing for a veeery long time. There was a patch that seemingly "fixed" it and added the "All" dungeons option. That was the time it stopped operation completely for me and the majority of people i talked to.

Not that it was really working before, but at least it did something sometimes...

Uggh thanks for the replies, well this really sucks. Makes me want to go back to Final Fantasy A realm reborn all the more.

Yeah its broken.

Ps4 achievements show 2% of players have completed their starting factions 5 dungeons

They plan to fix it but its doubtful it will be fixed this year

Because ZOS saw how easy it was for the World of Warcraft playerbase and assumed it wouldn't be enough of a challenge and finding groups to do content on console with no text chat NEEDS a bigger challenge to make it 'fun'

Yes, I agree with you completely. ZOS were both incompetent and lazy in not addressing this core fundamental gameplay design aspect in the YEAR LONG DELAY this console release had before launch.

PS - Go to Wayrest and hang out near the undaunted pledge givers. There's always people there looking to create groups, it's become something of an unofficial hang out replacement for the abomination that is the 'LFG tool' in this game.

Works for me.

Had my first hit using group finder . Noticed that we were all within five levels of each other I figured this is so we all get drops and ep but a add on that level is not a factor might speed this up. I just was trying to get the undaunted
