Addon Settings won't stick... every time I log in they are 'reset'. Help?

Hi! After the update, my addon settings will not stick. I'm not sure if it's the update- or updating to Windows 10? Even when I switch toons, the addons are completely reset as if I've never touched them. For instance, the FTC welcome window pops up like I've just updated the addon. My minimap is who knows where, Master Merchant won't hold the right data, ect. When I correct the addons and /reloudUI, they are reset all over again.
I've tried renaming/moving the AddOnSettings.txt folder and reloading UI to see if it will generate a new one. Nope! It hasn't been 'updated' since late August.
I did have problems with Minion after installing Windows 10 and have to run it as an admin now, which I didn't need to prior. I'm wondering if maybe that's the cause? But I would have no idea how to allow it to update as an admin from the game... but when I changed the name/moved the AddOnSettings.txt folder it required I do it as an admin.
I'm not hugely computer savvy, but having to move my addons around every time I log in to a new character is reeeeaaaally annoying. Any ideas? Any addon geniuses out there?!

✭✭This is often a symptom of too little LUA memory or too little memory on the hard disk ESO is installed on.
It may be worth increasing the amount of LUA memory ESO can allocate via the UserSettings.txt file and checking how much free space your HDD has.
Beyond that I am unsure, sorry, however I would suggest you post in the Addons and UI forum instead as there are some great addon creators in there that may be able to help!Edited by Paulington on September 9, 2015 6:35PM0 -
kupacmac✭✭✭It's the permissions on your "Documents" folder. I had the same issue with Windows 10. If you linked your Windows account to your Microsoft account, it now knows you by that account name (your MS email account name) and you no longer have permission to your "Documents" folder. What I had to do was manually give the new account name full permissions to Documents and all files/subdirs to remedy the problem. You could also unlink your account I suspect.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭This happened to me on the 2.1 PTS for days after downloading the update and installing addons. Thankfully it did not happen on live. There seems to have been some corruption of my saved variables. I deleted everything from the test addons folder, and manually downloaded the addons again (with both the game and launcher closed, of course) and the issues did not recur. Almost every game I've played runs into the same issues when an update hits. It's the devs code and they're free to tweak what they want. You make it sound as if those that create the add on have some sort of ownership over parts of the core game and its mechanics.
The onus is entirely with the creators to keep their add ons running smoothly.0
