In regards to champion points Warlord (cost reduction) and Mooncalf (recovery), which would be better? For those perma-blocker DKs, what do you use?

    Both.

The more points you put into one the less benefit you get. 1% is here is better than 0.2 % there.
Big fat Nord Dragon knight with a huge hammer. - Tank
Stealthy argonian witch templar - Healer (lowbie)

Neither helps with blocking directly. Stamina regen is stopped while holding block, and cost reduction does not affect block cost.

Other than that i would suggest recovery, because as a stamina build you are going to use roll dodge, and Warlord does not lower dodge cost. Use stam cost reduction enchants on jewelry instead.

There's CP specifically for reducing blocking costs. Pile them into that, then into recovery, so when you do drop tour shield you get that extra bit of regen.

This and at least some points in Block Expertise for CPs.

Magicka builds just do the same for Magician and Arcanist. If for one diminishing returns are kicking in, invest more into the other. If both have equal diminishing returns, spread points equally.

Reduced costs and stamina reg help just indirectly, as said above, but not all bosses need permablocking, some give you time to reg a tad. Stamina reduction will help to reduce costs for other skills (protection, support etc.) so there is more stamina left for blocks.

Both will help for adapting the stamina regen nerf, but they won't solve the issue completely. If your favorite group of guild members and friends does not have a templar for spears and repentance support /report the bug to the Zeminax Online support, because not the stamina nerf is the failure, but the buff system for stamina support in this game.

Although I have a templar healer, I loved to play my magciak NB as a full healer. While I could maybe adapt to the higher dungeon difficulty, I can't throw spears and I won't have always a NB tank, which seem to adapt quite well to the stamina change because of their class skills. At least our NB tank does, but still...in some fights he cries for spears (VR16 veteran "gold" White-Gold Tower, second boss encounter, for example).

Btw, I am no tank, but I wonder if a build for max damage reduction (high armor, high spell resistance) might make sense. It depends on what is first applied if an attack hits you, so will damage reduction from armor and spell resistance will kick in first and then damage reduction by blocking or the other way around ?

Sometimes the prey turns and nips us... it's a small thing.

So let the snow flakes and unicorns dance alone until they melt or vanish from existence, we will finish up with those smart enough to stay in the glowing circle of love.

Reduce magic costs is also helpful for a DK tank. Heals, shields, reflective scale, chains, talons all cost less. I use them all in dungeons.
