Nirnhoned noob questions.

I've no groups nor guilds, and I've solo'd as much of Craglorn as I can.
I'm an all round gaming geek, so I'd like to learn Nirncrux based crafting since I haven't.
However after every Boss I could get to & kill, & all the materials I've harvested, I've never seen anything Nirnhoned/nirncrux orientated.
Yes I've read how the "market" for this has been nerf'd in IC...which amuses me as I listen to guys selling it at high prices in Craglorn this week...I'm on XBox.
I've no actual interest in the armour itself, just the OCD that I can't create it as yet.

Is there any way I can learn this crafting style?
If not, I've read the guides as to locating the raw material, without success, and not being a group player, I can't get to bosses that drop this stuff, so am I just screwed?

Way to learn the style is by researching items made by others.

There is a single item reward for completing the Upper Craglorn quest line which gives you a random item with the Nirn trait. From each person completing that quest the options to craft more came out.

Best way now is to get the items and ask a crafter to make you them for research, or pay the gold for research items in guild traders.

You won't be able to complete the Craglorn quests solo, due to mechanics which require a group to access some areas. So you won't get the single random nirnhone item that can be obtained in game. There are no other nirnhone drops in the game. As mentioned above, your only option is buy nirnhone items or mine nirncrux and find a crafter who can make items for you. All this is feasible, but expensive. I have yet to complete the Craglorn quests, but I have researched all nirncrux traits. You can get nirncrux from nodes in Upper Craglorn or from any equipment writs in Craglorn. Chances are random, so the more you farm the better your odds.

    Thanks @Ourorboros
Wasn't strong enough to even get close to completion of any of the Quests in Craglorn except a few in lower.
I'll continue to farm nodes and I've not done a writ since I reached 50 in all the crafting, which was pre my VR levels, so I'll dust off the hammers & twine & get cracking.
Now I wish I hadn't recently sold off a couple of thousand stones & ingots & cloths...

Did you have to buy every single nirnhoned item you researched ? What is that 30 odd items ? That must have been bloody expensive not to mention the research time involved .

I bought about half the items. The prices were ranged from 12k to 20k, but this was back at the beginning of the year. The rest I got from a crafter who used my mats, including nirncrux, to make the items for me at 2k a piece. Research time was 28 days before ESO+.

I've only amassed about $250k in total in the bank. Never bought armour or weapons or the such either.
Clearly I've no clue as to making cash in the game since I couldn't afford buying even half of them at those prices.
    Hmmm...

Making gold is not too hard. You can farm for high value items or grind and sell your loot. Raw mats are a good bet-they sell quickly for a good price. If you farm nirncrux, you should amass lots of mats that you can sell or use for writs.

Money is easy to make now. But, you need to Join some active guilds to really make money in the game to have access to a Guild Store. Guilds with Kiosks are nice, but not necessary.

Legerdemain, even looting low value items can add up. When I was leveling the skill line, I would make 4K to 6K gold each day on each character I was leveling maxing out the amount of items I could fence.

Crafting Writs If your VR ranked, even the low level writs net you 600 plus gold each. At 6 writs per character, and with ESO Plus that is 4K gold per day per character. Low level mats are cheap and you can do 4 to 6 equipment writs per stack. It is end game level equipment writs that cost for mats.

Vendor all mob loot except for Green or better. Once your swimming in Green Tempers, then vendor the green ones. If your leveling crafting, then vendor the whites, decon/research the rest.

Sell crafting mats in the Guild Stores. Don't need a guild with a Kiosk, but it helps. Just don't sell the stuff you will use of course. Note Raw mats sell for much more than refined.

Sell traited items in the guild stores so people can research them, price at 100 to 200 gold. Making these to sell is also a great source of gold. If you have leveled your crafting, then sell the Intricate items for 150 gold each, maybe more.

Sell excess recipes in the Guild Stores.

Doing this has netted me over 500K in the last month. Note, these prices are NA PC. Consoles are much higher.

Heck, just doing the content can net you 20K to 30K in quest gold and vendored loot per early zone, 30K to 50K at Vet levels. It does help that I have all the bag space I need and my horse are maxed in skills, for the most part.

Joint a guild with a store. I'm in 4 and have made about 1.5 mil since xbox launch from scratch. Mainly from questing, getting good rng and selling ithe items in the store. I've spent almost half that since though.

Unfortunately a good 200k on Nirnhoned stuff before I found out about the change :(

On xbox, armor piece go for 45-60k each (I sell for 45) and weapons at 60-75k.

Armor will drop a lot when people fully realise the change to it.

I just purchased quite a few armor pieces with Nirn for 20k each on XB this past weekend. I also saw a lot of weapons for 25k, so things are definitely dropping. I doubt you'll get more than 30k now unless you encounter players who don't shop around. The other places I checked, the prices ranged from 20-50k (with a few pieces higher than that, but they'd been on the market for several weeks).

Ya I've been stuck on VR14 with no more Pve solo content for a few weeks now.
Even went and got the Enemy Of Coldharbour to have something to do, & spent 4.5 hours in one Cyro delve waiting for the last boss to finally spawn for Hero of Tamriel so time & patience I have in abundance lol.

I've done all the above except guilds...joined a few by invite but none had a store.
Clearly I've just been lazy though by not doing nearly enough...and as I've no other content until IC drops, I feel a splurge of thievery, farming, & writs coming on.
I've literally sold many thousands of raw mats just to normal vendors to clear out my bank & storage...but there was so little cash in that. 200 voidstone ingots = $800 etc against say a cost of $3000 to alter the CP attributes.

    OK, Capitalism 101 starts today.

Yeh, one of the big traders on EU xbox has started selling them at those prices. Got a motd today saying.

I only have one piece selling now anyway. I was intending to make it the last one to sell anyway.
