Is there any way I can learn this crafting style?
If not, I've read the guides as to locating the raw material, without success, and not being a group player, I can't get to bosses that drop this stuff, so am I just screwed?

You won't be able to complete the Craglorn quests solo, due to mechanics which require a group to access some areas. So you won't get the single random nirnhone item that can be obtained in game. There are no other nirnhone drops in the game. As mentioned above, your only option is buy nirnhone items or mine nirncrux and find a crafter who can make items for you. All this is feasible, but expensive. I have yet to complete the Craglorn quests, but I have researched all nirncrux traits. You can get nirncrux from nodes in Upper Craglorn or from any equipment writs in Craglorn. Chances are random, so the more you farm the better your odds.

Did you have to buy every single nirnhoned item you researched ? What is that 30 odd items ? That must have been bloody expensive not to mention the research time involved .

I bought about half the items. The prices were ranged from 12k to 20k, but this was back at the beginning of the year. The rest I got from a crafter who used my mats, including nirncrux, to make the items for me at 2k a piece. Research time was 28 days before ESO+.
Making gold is not too hard. You can farm for high value items or grind and sell your loot. Raw mats are a good bet-they sell quickly for a good price. If you farm nirncrux, you should amass lots of mats that you can sell or use for writs.Ourorboros wrote: »JimbobMarley wrote: »Ourorboros wrote: »Is there any way I can learn this crafting style?

I've only amassed about $250k in total in the bank. Never bought armour or weapons or the such either.
Clearly I've no clue as to making cash in the game since I couldn't afford buying even half of them at those prices.
Hmmm...

Joint a guild with a store. I'm in 4 and have made about 1.5 mil since xbox launch from scratch. Mainly from questing, getting good rng and selling ithe items in the store. I've spent almost half that since though.
Unfortunately a good 200k on Nirnhoned stuff before I found out about the change
On xbox, armor piece go for 45-60k each (I sell for 45) and weapons at 60-75k.
Armor will drop a lot when people fully realise the change to it.

I just purchased quite a few armor pieces with Nirn for 20k each on XB this past weekend. I also saw a lot of weapons for 25k, so things are definitely dropping. I doubt you'll get more than 30k now unless you encounter players who don't shop around. The other places I checked, the prices ranged from 20-50k (with a few pieces higher than that, but they'd been on the market for several weeks).
