Stamina Nb for the win !!!

WarCheifLugo
What's goody fellow Eso players , I'm excited for this new update , I've been running a stamina night blade from the start and I'm interested to see how this update is going to effect my playstyle I hear we are getting buffed or something of that sort but I want to know more details in what way is stamina going to be the go to for this patch ? Is certain skills getting a revamp , is this patch effecting my Nb only stamina skills or both Nb skills and weapon skills ? Someone let me know thank you

Well, it's a pretty long post and you'll have to do some digging, but check out:

That'll take you to the patch notes and the post that had all the class/skill line changes.

newer ones will be out today but I expect, as classic zos, they will just be fixing broke pve stuff because they could care less about pvp bugs, glitches, and exploits.

Do not let the version number fool you. This IS your next update if you are on consoles which I am assuming you are.

no more perma dodge derp a derp so nightblades think they got nerfed. Sad truth is dodge roll hurts everyone...... even those who didnt derp a derp with permaroll

    Well, someone(fool) will say Adapt.
The best thing to do is to STOP playing(all of us) for a month till zos does some changes

How stamina got nerfed you ask?:

    Caltrops nerfed
    Ravager nerfed
    Ww/vamp regens nerfed
    Dots, AoE, procs nerfed
    Pots nerfed
    Blocking nerfed
    Rolling nerfed
    Nirhorn nerfed

Pretty sure i miss more, but both PvE & PvP stam NB got hit hard... Dont get fooled by what Potters fans may say.

    Nirn was fixed.
    Blocking effects everyone
Dodge 'nerf' was needed you was never mean't to be able to perma roll dodge
    Ww/vamp effects everyone
Ravager was a stupid set with caltraps, always +600 dmg with caltraps
Caltraps is getting set to what it was mean't to be used for, bit on cc in chokepoints.

Pretty much this patch mean''s stamina builds can't perma roll dodge or perma block.

I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.

RIP my effort to get 5x v16 characters...

That's how stamina got nerfed, and affects all stam builds - nothing specific to NB.

But shields continue to be uncritable, undotable and stackable... Im freaking out.
  • WarCheifLugo
I don't see the big deal with the dodge roll and blocking mechanics , only people it's going to effect is the ones who relie on them instead of knowing when to get out the way avoiding certain situations and not freeze blocking which I mean they get so scared they just hole the block button but I don't see it as a big deal , the game is going to be more tactical if I say so

Specific to NB the Refreshing Shadows passives went from 30% Stamina recovery to 15%. In trade they got %15 recovery to Health and Magicka. It not bad for Magicka NB's however losing that 15% puts a dent in Stamina NB sustain.

Yeah, first thing that came to mind when I saw this thread.

Also, the +15% from Werewolf going away.

However Khajiit now get stam recovery so it kinda evens out for me. Was never a werewolf.

It's very good for the Magic NB. I was looking forward to that change..

    Ah, the ever elusive, Weregonian.

Honestly, for Stamina NBs, werewolf is still a nice option. Since you can suddenly become a lot beefier. Though, it does mean you're passing up other, probably better ultimates. Still, worth messing around with, if you never have.

Nah, I first started out as an Argonian, but then became a Khajiit. lol

I thought the name fit as I have both Khajiit (6 AD) and Argonian (2 EP) characters.

Usually the direction goes Argonian -> Crocodile... not Khajiit.

Of course, I'm one to snark, I've got 4 Bretons, 3 Imperials, and a Wood Elf.

I say not bad, because some players roll Wood Elf for Magicka NB when it's a more PVP focused character. With the changes to blocking and dodge rolling losing that extra stamina regen might hurt in PVP.

PVE though, it's pretty much yah free stats, gimme, gimme.

Prepare for a bunch of changing to your build. After the IC release, my stamina regen went from 2400 to 1200 (with drinks). Weapon Damage went from 2500 to 2000 (pre buffs).

Right after the patch we fought Bogden, and my DPS dropped to 3500 during that fight (was 9-10k before patch)

Had to re-enchant a bunch of gear and respect points. Switched over to food instead of drink and changed a bunch of stuff around. Hoping I can be useful again.

My NB has 1896 (using drink) stam regen and 3017 weapon damage (buffed) in pvp.

I wouldn't use drink in pve though, health would be too low.

Playing on my Templar vet 8 with crappy crafted gear and playing on my stam NB vet 16 main, decked out in good legendary gear.

Pre-patch, stam NB did very well, after patch, I can barely kill a guy, even if I get a sneak attack on them, and mobs regularly destroy me unless I am stupidly careful.

Pre-patch, Templar did poorly, after patch, templar doing way better than NB despite being vet 8 with crap-tier gear.

Not sure what they did, but stam NB is definately performing incredibly poorly, I think it might have to do with the increased time to kill. Every other class has shields and/or self heals, NB only have cloak, so as a stam NB it's either kill them quick, or run away, unless you want to die, now due to increased time to kill the choice is run away, or die seeing as how kill them quick isn't an option anymore.

As a side note, I never spammed roll dodge, so the roll dodge nerf didn't bother me.

Being a Breton, Destro and Resto, it's perfect. I dodge very little, rather use my Cloak and the 15% helps more than the 30% stamina. Plus free health.

Well the OP was thinking to get some buff, while instead the stamina build got nerfed,So a stamina NB is going to be nerfed not buffed,i don't think @R0M2K was saying only stamina NB was nerfed.

Even with the nerfs a stam NB is still very good. 2h for close quarters and a bow for range, and use vigor as a self heal. I can get shite done with this.
