But I hold Very Little value in any "Promise" that Zos makes.

Why not start earning them at level 10? with an ever increasing amount of Xp till the next Champion point allotted. That way people could actually " catch-up"

Well 400k xp on a character between 1 to 50 is around 15 levels. They would have to downscale the xp requirement per champion point at each individual level below 50
If there is yet another VR rank increase, then ZoE is really trying to kill ESO.
id rather have re-playable content rather than the Gear Treadmill that VR levels represent. lets not forget, that is the MAIN reason the Vet Levels were going to be removed. it was also the MAIN reason the champion system was introduce, to replace the gear grind/treadmill. to continue character progress without having to constantly get that next piece of gear just to stay competitive in PVE/PVP (which is no different than gear progression since the champion system is 100% vertical progression just like gear!).
that was the initial plan, but it is clear to me that they have thrown that idea out the window. now we have both a HUGE gear treadmill with IC, AND champion points to deal with. as it stands, they have doubled the difficulty for character development and to remain competitive. who does this effect? mostly casual gamers probably. casual gamers are their cash cow, willing to pay money for "convenience" items in the store since they don't have the time to put in the hours like the hardcore crowd.
when you look back at everything and the direction they are moving and the choices they have made, it is clear to me they dont have a *** clue on what direction they want to take this game.
You can grind VR pretty quickly if you get ESO Plus, buy crown store xp scrolls, marry someone and group up and hit a grinding zone for hours doing laps and yelling at others who can't follow the most effective pattern.

A lot of this could be fixed if ZOS would at least talk to us about these issues on their own forums instead we are left to hop around the internet and hunt down scraps of information on obscure websites and reddit tid bits of information. The communication between developers and players here is horrible and it honestly isn't that hard to fix if they would put forth the effort.
As much as I want them removed (And I am confident they actually will be removed with Orsinnium), I imagine myself, it's a really tough situation for them to actually remove them seeing as all content past 50 relies on them. Just my opinion though.
There are a lot of valid points here. With new games coming out like fallout 4 and fallen king (which will fix a lot of problems that destiny has now, which are the same problems this game has). I think that starting next week the game is going to start dropping rapidly and Zos is going to have no choice but to lay more people off and start packing things up. I love this game but the grind is to long and the content is boring after I've done it 5 or 6 times now. It's the same reason I left world of warcraft. Trying to grind to 90 doing the same quests over and over is just not how I want to spend my time. Sure xp potions are a great idea but they are expensive to buy for real money and the in game recipe is a grind itself. Having to do writs every day then after you have it you have to grind out fishing in hopes of finding a rare material to make it only to sell it for 1/4 of its actual value. They should have just added the recipe in the store to buy and make it easier to get the mats. I feel punished not rewarded by trying to get this recipe just to level up my alts faster.
I am wondering how many players out there are frustrated with the fact that we keep getting promised the removal of Vet ranks and yet they keep pushing it off further and further. Who would rather see vet rank removal before any more content is released?

I won't say that they are delaying removing them but when it was announced it seemed like an end of 2015 thing so right now if they are gone by 2016, then they're on track.
