Once upon a time, I enjoyed being a Good Samaritan. While leveling up provisioning, I'd end up with low-level supplies that don't fetch much coin with merchants, so I made it a habit of finding someone level-appropriate and using the in-game mail system to send them the goodies just as a nice gesture. I was especially fond of doing this with people who had brand new characters. I did this with in-game mail instead of the trading system after I got feedback on here that random trade invites with no mic are rather frowned upon.
However, it seems I'm unable to do that anymore. Not sure if it's due to the recent PS4 update or the recent game update, but when I type in someone's PSN ID in the in-game mail system, they come up as not existing. I've tried this now with about 5-10 very simple gamertags I spotted, so it isn't due to me mistyping or a lower-case L being confused with an upper-case I or anything like that. I just flat-out cannot send in-game mail to people who are not on my friends list or are friends of friends, apparently, going by the names that do pop up as I start to type.
Anyone else notice this or is it just me?
