What's the % of getting gold mats from refining now?

✭✭With the chance of level caps being increased to at least VR18 with next DLC and possibly higher if the rumors are true, when would you feel comfortable improving items to gold anyway? I think I'll save my gold mats until epic armor just doesn't cut it or on select pieces only.
