Malpherian✭✭✭✭✭I just came back to ESO to see whats changed myself (Not much in 2 years unfortunately). Was seriously disappointed that the game is the exact same as I left it over a year ago. And stuff that was promised on release still isn't in game and the UIO is still Borked and missing key features.
But anyway,
Yea. Was thinking at least I could make my armor look cool, but nope, being Veteran rank 1 I don't have time to level to rank 16 and bother with the IMP city (yes I know it levels you for non dungeon stuff to V10), still to low for any real grinding.
So rather then grinding it was just going to buy it as it's the only thing worth getting in the entire imperial city. In fact if they had just added the motif and skipped the Imp city entirely would not probably be much of a difference in the game...
Which is sad... but still....
Anyway, I'm a bit disgruntled and the lack of progress this game is showing. The motif would have at least let me look cool while being disappointed, rather then just disappointed.....1 -

They added 1 DLC (A pretty worthless one), a half finished Crime system that allows you to steal items (Although you could already do this). A few new motifs, Fixed some bugs, created others (That's expected), and... That's it, in 2 years.
What they said would be added "Soon" after release.:
- DB/TG (Yes I know they are coming next year)
- Spell Crafting (To actually allow you to make your character how you want without restrictions), - Shelved
- Criminal system with a Guard faction players can join to hunt down the other Criminal Players.
- Orsinium, and the Imp City (Among others)
- Ui Additions (Like a clock/day/night cycle, showing Buffs and Debuffs, etc)
So in 2 years, the only thing on that list to come out so far are:
- Half finished Crime system (Guards attack you or charge a fee if you steal or murder etc)
- Unfinished, Broken Imperial City
So.. Even in the content they "Did" release, it's not even finished.
So yea... I'd lol also.2 -

They didn't say why, the video or ESO live whatever they are calling it these days, simply said it was no longer in their plans for development but they would like to do it eventually.
Meaning well never see it.
The pattern with ZOS it seems is to advertise really cool ideas, get people hyped up and exited, and then only "Half" implement them, or not implement them at all, while using vague nondescript "we'd still like to do it at some point" comments, without actually giving any reasons for any of it..
