Hello,

with the new patch we get new items in our PvP-Rewards including box-item sets.
I asked in multiple chats, my PvP-Guilds and so on but no one ever got or saw Shadow Walker or Morag Tong available for Veteran Rank 16.

Arch-Mage etc. exists, basically all magicka box-sets exists, but none of the stamina ones, at least it seems that way.

Could anyone provide a screenshot to proof the existence of those sets?

I want the answer to, I don't blame the OP for asking. We are paying for this after all.

It would take a dev 5 minutes to find out, and 5 seconds to answer yes or no.

Unfortunately it looks like, just as v14 helped kill warlock, v16 is gonna kill these sets.

Then they should've added rings to the new sets since all new sets are completely crap in my opinion cause the only parts existing for them are armor parts.

Not true, there are still some better combos possible IF those sets had been scaled to v16.

ZOS is intentionally and quietly suppressing the following sets by not allowing v16 versions at this time:

Shadow Walker
Morag Tong
Ravager
Footmans
healer
Cyrodils Light
potentiates
vengence leech
hawks eye.

Notice anything similar about EVERY set in that list? Anything at all?

In the place of these 9+ sets (there are more but those are the most popular) we are offered only THREE V16 Approved(TM) jewelry sets.

Note that they are named Willpower, Endurance, and Agility. You are going to need a lot of all three of those traits to endlessly grind IC for inferior gear you wouldn't even look twice at if these other sets I mentioned were still in the game.

I told you all three months ago that V16 was a gear grab, no one listened. Some people played apologist. Now you see.

I know I wouldn't even bother with those jewelry/weapon sets if I could get Morag or Shadowalker. If you notice, even the more popular magicka sets are missing, or have had their bonuses changed to devalue them.

It's sad, and a dirty marketing tactic. But it makes total sense from a business stand point..

Skyrim didn't reek of this marketing crap. Neither did Oblivion. Both of those games, and all previous elder scrolls games sold on their quality and the depth of the experience. And of course the choose your own way method of playing.

More and more this game feels less and less like an elder scrolls game and more like a mobile freemium game. Are we sure Zynga isn't the developer behind this game?

L.O.L. The only "depth" in Skyrim and Oblivion came from mods. TES games are a mile wide and an inch deep when it comes to gameplay.

Of course they're going to hit older items with the Nerf Hammer. It's the only way they can think of to get people to buy the new content. Since, you know, they can't introduce new bonuses or mechanics.

There is a danger in explaining ZOS's methodology for them. It makes it sound like we agree with them or support this terrible, cheesy behavior that is bad for this game and bad for MMOs in general.

We can theorize why they did this all we want but this is unacceptable and bad for the game in the long run.

If cash becomes far more important than player enjoyment...we have a huge issue on our hands.

Not surprised. The most popular gear gets left in the dust so new challenges and trials can emerge on creating new viable builds and keep the gameplay flowing ( gear grab ). Notably said gear acquisition focuses on playing *a lot* in IC.

If the new gear was actually better I wouldn't be as disappointed. The sheer venom set is pretty much a rehash of Morag Tong without the convenience and versatility of a neckpiece. Same thing with Scathing Knowlege and Martial Mage.

But the worst insult are the Agility/Endurance/Willpower sets. They are just plain boring. It takes 3 items to get spell/weapon damage instead of 2 (cyrodiil's light and shadow walker or serpent rings).

If you want endgame gear, everyone has to run one of three jewery sets. I'm not excited to grind for those. Theorycrafting excites me about gear. Trying to find the best combinations and mixing sets.

The new meta for stam and magicka is just 4pc weapon/spell damage armor set, molag kena, one of the three ring sets. Boring Boring Boring.

I think it was touched on earlier in the thread but the key here is that we only have pvp gear that has no jewelry associated with it. Archmage neck being the only exception and until I see one at V16, I may assume they removed it from the loot tables. They REALLY want us using those new 3 pc jewelry sets and nothing else in those slots.

Affliction (and I think Alessian) also has a neck piece but I have yet to see a V16 one either.

Actually I notice with this they also restrict several sets that are % based, maybe trying to make things generic numbers to balance things better rather that end up with another silks of the sun superbuild.

I am in IC for some days now and just for the single purpose to slay dumb mobs for trophies or stones... the only PvP I encountered so far is pure zerging on any side but more on a bi-hourly basis so no permanent PvP at all like out there in real Cyrodiil...

Not what matches my expectation for a PvP update/DLC.
