Should a stam build NB switch to Mag NB? for console

I just want to hear your guys thought on whether a stam NB stay stam or should switch to Mag NB for the new IC dlc? I keep hearing mag NB are the way to go on this patch because there going to do tons of damage but I'm not planning to do alot of PvP, I mostly run dungeons and PvE. Just wanna hear some suggestions on both sides of stam NB and Mag NB, I just wanna be able to do lots of DPS

Zlater✭✭✭Yeah Magicka is crazy OP in PvP because of the new cloak trolling (and forum trolling, you'll probably see it when someone replies to this post ;D), they are still really great in PvE though. Always loved the thought of Magicka NB, just never got around to leveling one.
There was a bit of commotion in the PTS section about stam NB's drop in stam regen. For PvE I'd probably choose Magicka, just to mix it up a little and try something new

So here goes,
Stam NB was all about dodge rolling to keep out of harms way, with the new patch each dodgeroll with in a certain period of time become exponentially more expensive, 33% per roll,
Having said that vigor is now available at a lower level and can help with heath regen,
New sets out that can boost my weapon damage and jewelry glyphs now give decent weapon damage boost as well,
I suppose as a Stamina NB you will need to change the way you play, have a bit more sustain and a little less Weapon damage,
I dont have the answers yet but i can tell you that playing a Stam NB in IC is awesome, plenty of ganking opportunities,
Make sure you have a bit of magicka pool so you can cloak past NPC's.......
I would not try to butcher my stamina bld to make a magicka bld.

If you are on the console, you have ~2 weeks, why not get a respec now, and try the magicka NB out. if you like it then you can stick with it, if you don't then you get a free SP reset when IC drops.
the main change on patch notes that would effect a magicka NB's DPS (i guess) is Grim focus only requiring 4 light attacks, which your'll most likely do anyway if you weave LA when using abilities. so its a big increase in DPS for magicka users proc'ing spectral bow ability nearly twice as often, and it hits very hard if you have high magicka (so i'm lead to believe?)but even as a stamina user i find it still claims+5k on tooltip, and i use the morph for the +10% stamina regen, between that and the new +30% stamina regen (up from +15%) from refreshing shadows passive and for me personally +10% stam regen (up from 0%) for being a khajiit, then combine that with:- Increased Health, Magicka, and Stamina regeneration, with the value varying with each level. The increase is approximately 150% at VR14.
- Serpent: This Mundus Stone now increases your stamina regeneration instead of health regeneration
anyone still telling me "reduced cost is the way to go" will get a lecture. Actually, now you can roll --> cloak and runaway with the major expedition buff. Also you can roll, sneak and surprise! your enemy from behind.
Perma roll was an excelent defensive option, now that has been changed to a good defensive and a good offensive option.Sarcasm is something too serious to be taken lightly

xK0R3zY✭Sorry for not replying but it's only a major update for PvP Mag NB right? It's just that I had a huge argument with a guild member about how mag NB has higher dps than a stam, but referring to PVE n see u guys comment, I'm going to stay stam but maybe I'll make mag NB for PvP0

Magicka nb have shadow image and pretty much infinity cloak/elusive mist usage. Extremely easy to get away from pretty much everything. Also concealed weapon goes through roll dodge and dont even get me started with proximity detonation.
Only thing stamina nb are superior in is healing. Vigor is amazing.
Personally I like playing stamina nb more. My advice is, try playing both and pick your favourite.0 -
