Buff heavy armor

As the title says, the heavy armor is not competetive with medium and stamina sets. I realize they're all for different things. But I believe the passives in heavy armor arent as noticable as medium. For example, the 5 piece requirement for med gives 12% weapon damage, while the heavy 5 pz requiremente only reduces cost of blocking by 20%.

A way we could balance this is to give the heavy a buff in all its defensive passives to make up for that damage boost you're not getting, or even more health. instead of a 1% health bonus per piece, it could be a 2% health bonus per piece. and instead of reducing blocking costs by 20%, it could reduce it by 30%.

Stuff like that.

Since the changes to block & stam regen I think the 5 piece passive for heavy should change to a flat 8% damage reduction (or 1% per heavy armor worn etc) that sits above the 50% hard cap, synergizing better with the heavy gear sets as light & medium armor bonuses do with theirs.. e.g.

Light armor passives increasing spell penetration, spell crit & magicka regen while light armour sets provide increases to spell damage, spell crit and max magicka (magicka DPS/HPS oriented)

Medium armor passives increasing weapon damage, weapon crit & stamina regen, while medium armor sets provide bonus weapon damage, weapon crit and max stamina (stamina DPS oriented)

Heavy armor passives increasing base resistance, max health, block cost reduc, while heavy armor sets provide bonus resistances, max health, max healing (tanking oriented)

Having the 5 piece block cost reduction heavy armor passive in 1.7 is a bit like having a medium armor 5 piece passive that reduces the cost of dodge roll by 10%.. it just doesn't transfer effectively in to a new meta.

We used to have a break free cost reduction in the Heavy Armor passives. I miss that one a ton. That, and Constitution used to actually be noticable.

Heavy armor had fantastic passives back in 1.5.

Yeah. I just don't understand why heavy armor can't be equally effective as its counterparts. I also don't understand why there aren't more people who care

Many threads made about this, people definitely care, ZOS just never acknowledges Heavy Armor weak passives sadly. :(

Heavy Armor gives barely 4% extra mitigation compared to medium armor, but in return you sacrifice all sustain and DPS, not a good trade off. The only reason tanks are forced to use heavy armor is because of Bracing.

Not to.mention the bonus healing received, and the max health buff. Hell with food I've got nearly 40k hp in bwb (ps4) and can sustain for ages.

Heavy armor is going to be even more vital, due to healing received nerf and shield regen nerf, we're going to need the passives more than ever.

Yeah I wonder what's better, 25% stamina regen or 5% hp
