Jumping nerf.

Can this jumping nerf be made active only on Cyro and IC? It is really freaking annoying and this was never a damn problem until the stupid spawn points in IC.

maybe it was just made for fun though. Because we all know that not being to jump over some 30cm rock in a dungeon and getting killed is a lot of fun.

The only jumping nerf I noticed was jumping while in stealth... which kinda makes a lot of sense to me, when aou are sneaking, you shouldn't make any big jumps... those draw attention... ;)

It is a general nerf or some messing up with with jumping in general. It is slower and the height is lower. Normal Jumping is "floaty" and horse jumps i could do before on my regular circuit fall short. I also have trouble making small jumps over stuff like the small obstacles in Spindle and other places that were not at all a problem before. If it was a nerf to only stealth I wouldn't have noticed since I don't jump in stealth that much

I can confirm this, the jumps are ALL too low, not only in stealth (however in stealth it's WAY too low). This is extremely annoying, and not only annoying, this blocks every path where you need to jump. By foot, sneaking or not, or on the horse!

I cannot avoid enemies anymore by sneaking past them, because a pebble is in the way. That's ridiculous! Last night I tried to sneak past some skeevers in Reaper's March to let them graze in peace, but instead they ended up dead, I had no choice. Harder enemies, no way to avoid them if I would want to, I cannot even climb a pebble now in stealth, also jumping walking normal is a mess now. And jumping with a horse is pretty much useless now also.

Btw, is it possible that the player character gets stuck infront or inbetween the smallest rocks.. again? Because this issue was actually fixed some patches or updates ago. It seems it's back in the game! This also doesn't harmonize at all with that ridiculously low jumping height - get stuck, can't jump.. at least not straight ahead or right away.

This needs to be fixed ASAP!

It is frustrating, even getting over the rocks in the water on the way down to Elden Hollow was a pain - was this some unexpected result of something they planned or another bug that won't be admitted for ages?

I agree please fix the jump height. Although I'll be honest, I've really only noticed this during stealth. I don't think I would have as much of an issue if the shortened jump height during stealth wasn't so jarring. Just looking at myself while jumping in stealth looks horribly done. It appears as if my head has hit an invisible ceiling, making the jump appear extremely unnatural for the amount of power that appears to go through my legs when I make the jump action. I don't think it would be as bad if they made the stopping at peak height of the jump less jarring and more gradual and smooth, like how it's supposed to be. Gravity is a force with downward acceleration. It does not suddenly stop you in your tracks when jumping up. Your velocity up slows down until you reach peak height. And this is the way it should be in eso, which is how it appeared prior to the patch. Now...the animation just looks horrible.

ZOS has a knack for fixing things that don't need fixing, that no one ever asked for, and then leaving incredibly broken things that everyone is screaming about alone for months.

    It's an odd talent.

I am pretty sure this was due to some nasty exploits with some people jumping to spawn points in IC. This is more a manifestation of their talent of fixing stuff in the weirdest possible way.Kind of like when they fixed the way shrine into enemy safe zones not by stopping way-shrine use but by creating a new empty phase. It may be also their talent of modifying something in one point and messing up everything in 10 unrelated places. I still remember when the VR 6 mobs where 2 times tougher then anything in Crag.

I'm just glad that with Night's Silence, I can still jump normally while running in stealth, but the moment I stop... yeah, no jumpy. Came up to a wall that I normally could jump up and over, the first jump went fine, but because I was no longer in motion for the second jump, the second jump was a major fail; had to come out of stealth to finish jumping the rock wall.

Well my hero probably had too many ales since I can easily surpass their pathetic jumps now.

Wow......... Players really will cry and complain about anything..... Maybe you can try to adapt to the change and maybe use invisibility potions or the goddess skill Shadow cloak that allow you to stand up while still being stealthed.

Wow Some people really do not freaking read then complain and cry about complaining. I am have no damn problem with jumping in freaking stealth because I don't need to jump when I am in stealth. This is about jumping being borked outside Cyro where there isn't really any reason to stealth let alone jump while in stealth.

If you want to jump high then
    -be a NB(concealed weapon)
    -7 pieces of medium armour.
    -5 pieces of night silence
    -be a vampire

Then you will be running(with blur) and jumping normally.

Just finished a tour through craglorn. I did all my usual jumps, just like way before the last update... no noticable difference unless I try to jump while stealthed. I really can't say I see the issue... my NB jumps just fine.

Hm. What I see from reading the ZOS posts is that not even the Stealth low jump has been confirmed as a intended feature. It might just be a bug?

I need to add another thing about the jumping issue, since this happened way too often now and can't be an odd conincidence anymore, related to the jumping:

When I try to jump on a surface/obstacle where I would eventually need 2 jumps to get up, my character glides down in SLOWMOTION, especially when I try to jump fast, mostly twice in a row. During that odd movement, I have no control over my character, I have to let it finish gliding until I can go on lol

Has anyone else seen this slowmotion thing, too?

The jumping nerf is persisting long after leaving stealth most of the time. In one group, of us could jump over the wall behind the harvesters in vet BC while not stealthed. It would have been funny to watch 4 characters making these little, stubby jumps over and over again if it weren't so frustrating.

I found that a short sprint will release the "hobbled" jumping state after leaving stealth, and allow me to jump normally again.
